Not perfect(no tire is), but a solid perfomer

I drive 75,000 miles plus a year since Sept. I have over 30,000 on the set. Good in winter Good in the wet when new...road noise is ok and the feel is sporty. I run them at 40psi cause they feel too mushy for me at 35psi. To get any life you must rotate every 10,000miles and keep psi constant, you'll meet the recommended 50k but the tire after 40k sucks in the wet and will not make a winter. So the last 10k better come in the summer and you have to be concerned on rain days.

Just excellent tires

This is the fourth set of Altimax RT / Altimax RT43 tires I've had, used on three different vehicles. All have been excellent tires. Good ride, hold balance extremely well, and are quieter than many major brand tires I've previously used. One set was a little shy of expected(warranted) mileage, but the other three have done well. Plan on continuing to use these.

Suprisingly good in snow

I bought this tire as a test to see how well all season tires would do in winter (and I got tired of changing from summer to winter tires and back).  I live in the Spokane, WA area and we do get on average 40+ inches of snow in a winter.  Well, I have to say, I was pretty pleased with the tires performance in snow.  Yes, it's not a full blown snow tire, but it has done quite well in our conditions.

5,000 miles in and absolutely no issues

I have these tires on a 2016 Hyundai Elantra. Its seeing mostly Highway and interstate driving between KY and MO. I've had no issues in the elements I've encountered the past few months (hot, wet, cold, or ice). I will probably buy a 5th tire to use as a spare since I'm not a fan of donuts. I'm not seeing any wear or abnormal indications on any of the four I have, and the ride seems better compared to the factory tires which had about 40,000 on them when changed.

Tires Lasted About 20,000 Miles

Bought two AltiMAX™ RT 43 (225/55R-19) back on Nov. 2019. Had them professionally installed as front replacements on a 2014 Dodge Journey with 75,000 miles. Just failed inspection due to both tires being under 2/32"" thread wear. Current vehicle mileage is 95,000 miles with no alignment issues & tires properly inflated so the tires lasted about 20,000 miles (thread wear warranty states 65,000 miles)

Great tire for the money

I bought a set of tires for my Subaru Outback and have about 15000 miles on them.  I drove them through many snow storms and they are very sure-footed for an all season tire.  I chose them based on several positive reviews in a leading consumer magazine and online.   I am looking for a set when my Honda Odyssey needs new tires in the next 6 months.  Definately recommend them!

Smooth ride

Had Another tire on there which still have plenty of thread life but I just couldn't take I was actually in fear of driving in the rain so I was happy that I was able to change the tires and are able to afford changing the tires and the product is just amazing in the rain I love the tires

Corrected Review

My apologies for leaving an earlier review stating that the tires are too noisy.  This is not the case.  I had a bad wheel bearing that I was mistaking for tire noise.  This is the second set of General tires on the same vehicle and we are happy with them.

Most quiet tire I have ever owned

I recommend general tire to everyone I know.  My Prius sounds like a tin can on the highway with Michelins, but once I swap them out with general altimax, it sounds like a luxury car, very quiet.  I wish the Altimax came in lower profile sizes so I can get them for my BMW, so I had to settle for continentals.  Continental is OK, but not as luxuriously quiet as General Tires.

Performs in the snow

I have a rear wheel drive car in Colorado. Don't judge. With my previous tires, my car typically sat in the driveway on snow days. Not so with the RT43. These are some of the best performers I have had on the car. They're not ice and snow tires, but the do exceed my expectations on the snow. As far as dry highway travel they are quiet, keep a straight line and give me confidence.
