The treadware is great.  We do a lot of highway travel and travel on snowy roads and the AltiMAX is up to every challenge.  The road noise is a bit more than other tires but the other features make that a non-issue for me.

Great tires for my Subaru

General Tire

This tire is great quiet great in rain and dry weather and the price was great.  Git about 20k on them now. I'm looking to see if I can get these for my truck.  Buy them...tell your friends

Sweet tire

8000 miles on my four new General AltiMAX RT 43 tires and my ride is excellent.  Minimal wear and great handling in all sorts of conditions.  I will definitely buy this same tire again and again.

So Far So  Good

Replaced a set of tires that was completely done, so the initial difference was pretty stark. Still, I like these tires so far. Good grip, pretty quiet, and good communication about what is going on with the roadway.

So far, so good

Purchased 1-24/17, it is now 4/24/18. Have about 4500 miles on the tires and they ride very nicely, have good snow/ice traction and don't seem to wear very much.

Solid, comfortable ride

Had these tires for about two months. So far I am very pleased with them. The ride is smooth and quite. The best feature was these tires cost well below what other competing makers had to offer.

Great deal

When I switched out a set of Toyo tires I felt like I had installed an extra set of shock absorbers. These tires are quite good, smooth and quiet. They are an excellent value for the money and I recommend them without a doubt.

Not flashy, very effective

Replace tires on my 2013 Mazda CX-9 . Ride comfortable and quiet . Much les expensive than tire with lesser specs.  Handling is fine.  My wife just came home today and said how she like the new tires.

Very happy with my purchase. I'm pleased the tires are not noisy as my last tires drove me crazy.  I had plenty of opportunity to try out the tires in terrible rain storms.  I felt in control and safe.

Quiet and safe

As soon as I purchased these tires my truck vibrates.  I've brought them back to the tire dealer and they rebalanced them on three separate occasions. After the the third failed attempt they gave me a new set of the same exact brand and still vibration.  I've been to 5 different mechanics and they say everything under the vehicle is tight and they see no issue in the vehicle that perhaps its the tires.  I received a recall letter but the DOT on my tires are not included in the recall which is hard to believe because the letter states you will experience excessive vibration which I have experienced from day one.  Unless the tire dealer has damaged my vehicle, which I highly doubt, it is the tires because my truck NEVER vibrated until these tires were installed onto my vehicle.

Vibration from day one

I purchased these last fall, the factory tires which never had very good traction were to the point that I could not do another winter with them.  I have low mileage on my car since it is only a 'work' car so wear was not the issue.  These Generals have considerable amount of traction comparably and improve the handling of the car.  They allowed me to make it through the winter, even driveway busting through 6 some foot deep snow drifts in my little Sonic, very impressive as I did not want to walk the rest of the way (200 yards or so in cold blowing snow).  I used Tire Rack to  review options and in my opinion, these were the best for me.  Very pleased with this purchase.
