Light weight, easy to use

I bought this set up a few years back and have used it on many occasions. Very easy to use and if you have other 20V tools, battery life is not an issue even with a heavy workload. Best of all, you don't need to worry about stale gas mix, it's always ready to go. While I am satisfied with my purchase and with the tool in general, I do need to point out 2 items that others may want to consider. 1) The saw is light. This means that the weight of the saw is not present to keep the blade on the branch, you have to add some force to work the saw into the wood. 2) After some use, the friction locks on the pole slip and the pole will slowly collapse while you're working with it. There does not appear to be any way to tighten the locking mechanism. That's just plain annoying, and why I can't give it a 5 star rating.

Pole stability is not trustworthy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As I have this tool and try to cut small branches, the locking feature on the pole continues to close. I have tightened the tension and it does not help. The auto tension feature begins to bring my pole back on me as soon as I turn on the saw. While this unit together is not heavy, it is not easy to move and cut at full extension. This item I do not recommend because it does not function properly with the pole extension.

Handiest Tool I've got!

I'm a 72 year old woman who loves this Chain Saw! I live on a farm by myself and am constantly using my saw to cut limbs, trim brush and cut up trees that have blown over. I have used gas motor saws in the past and this one is far superior for weight and ease of use. I have used it for over a year, cut up some pretty big stuff and the chain is amazing still very sharp. I bought it to trim limbs up high but I found the saw a little to heavy for me to use as a pole saw. But I'm very Happy with chainsaw and would recommend it to anyone for easy use and reliability. I have other Worx tool that I'm super happy with also great products and great price.

I was surprised

I have to admit I made fun of my wife when she purchased the first Worx 10" electric chainsaw. I've always been the Stihl 18" bar rip roaring kind of tree wacker - until I had elbow surgery. I begrudgingly picked up the little saw to do trimming and was immediately struck by the torque and cutting ability so I graduated up to a bit bigger limb. Then continued up to 6" tree, then up to a 10" cedar tree (which can be a big gnarly many headed hydra!) and it cut it down! After that I got to looking at the limbs over my head and figured "I ain't getting my 65 y/o butt up a ladder to cut those!" and found the Worx Pole/Chainsaw and immediately ordered it. Got the saw in just days and got busy with it. Cutting pretty large limbs that got broken by the 21' Snowmageddon ice and snow event here in Texas. It seemed a little heavy and unwieldy at first but you can use that to your advantage because all you have to do is start the saw and rest it's weight on the limb and let the chain do the work! I felt a lot more comfortable standing on solid ground rather than 12' up because I know from experience that gravity sucks! Cons: 1. Go ahead and spring for a bigger battery. The little 2 amp batteries run out pretty quick, which can be a good thing if you're old and want to pace yourself. I got the 4 amp battery and it cuts longer than *I* want to. 2. Watch the chain tension! If the saw starts jumping the shock tends to loosen the chain, so if it starts the bump-bump-bumping it will still cut but check tension often. Conclusion: I have jerked my arm outta its socket for the last time! With the new battery chemistries and stronger motors there is no reason to use an internal combustion engine again!

Excellent value

I own a wooded lot behind my house that has a lot of trees that need a lot of clean-up. I've been wanting a pole saw and chainsaw, I was hoping to go battery powered also. I don't want to have to maintain another gasoline powered device. I was very happy to find this combination on your website. Now, if the weather would cooperate...

very disappointed

I am very disappointed in this product I used it for the first time 11/18/17 to cut some palm tree stumps I ran it for around 15 mins. on and off and the battery went dead. I have other worx products which I have had no problems. So if you are looking for a chain saw don't buy this one I would not recommed.

Great Machine- Brilliant Performance

Cut down a several small oak trees up to 4" diameter, a couple of 6" poplars, that I then cut into 3rd's, and then put on the extension trimmed several pine branches up to 3" diameter. ALL ON ONE BATTERY! I pooped out way before the saw battery did!

Light duty worker

I was wary of the smaller 20V battery as my other Worx tools have 32V. My first test was 14” twisted willow overhanging a walking path. It took only 9 cuts to drain a charged battery even with light pressure. Then 5+ hours to fully charge it again. Works much better on smaller limbs of course. Larger battery is on order.

Works great

Extremely happy! I don't need a chainsaw very often but when I do this one fills the bill. With or without the pole it works great! And for the price it is unbeatable. Also I was worried about the automatic oiler but it supplies just the right amount of oil.

Better than I expected.

I've only used this one time so far and it worked perfectly. Saw had way more power than I expected. We have a worx weedeater and a blower so I knew I would like it. Also bought a weedeater and blower for out adult son, he's very pleased with his gift.
