Great picture & Smart

I bought the VIZIO SmartCast D-series 24" HD tv for my bedroom. It has proven to be just right for the bedroom space. Picture is full 1080HD with a 120hz refresh rate (unusual for 24" tvs). The pre-loaded Smart apps are numerous and include Hulu, Netflix, VUDU, Amazon Prime and Pluto. One minor note is that the remote has a very light touch, but this is not a problem if you use the cable/sat. remote for channel changing. I haven't linked my smart phone to SmartCast yet.

Beautiful picture.

Lets see, first off, the remote needs help. Breathe on it and the battery covers falls off. Next is the effort it takes to get the remote to function and undertake the action you actually want. Now for the tv itself. It's a beautiful picture! It's just two months out of warranty and the "smart" part of the tv quits working and the tv has to be reset every 5 or 6 days to keep the streaming functioning.

Love the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have used my VIZIO TV for over 3 years now and there are several things I appreciate, and some that I don't. My expectations were low due to the use case for the product as a monitor / TV. The product has worked well with the exception of the start up of the home page for the apps and the reaction time of the remote. Bottom line - you get what you pay for.

Was not actually what I wanted.

This is my first smart tv so I'm not up on the different types to good yet. I wanted an android TV and had found one. I forgot what site I saw it on and thought this was the right one. All I have is internet so I needed something to help me get some free tv. Well to my surprise with the help of my fire stick along with some streaming services I pay for I do pretty good. Also the smartcast works very well so anything that I can watch on my phone I can cast to the TV. So great product with a great picture that's worth the money.

Great features

We now own two Vizio D-Series 32" Class Smart TV's and are very impressed with all of the features these sets have to offer. The picture is exceptional, easy to operate, and the Smartcast is absolutely a terrific feature. This allows you to watch movies, documentaries, and TV shows that we're unable to get without this feature, all for free. If you are unfamiliar with Vizio products, I would suggest taking a look before buying any other Smart TV. They are an excellent choice and value.

Not so smart TV

I bought this TV years ago and spent many long hours trying to set up the apps. The process is tedious and not very user friendly. This week all of that work disappeared and I had to set up the TV again which is when I got this invitation to review this product. I just ordered a Roku device to attach to the TV so that I can more easily stream the apps that I enjoy. I would not recommend this product to my worst enemy.

Amazingly Awesome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned mine for a few years now and it has not disappointed me at all. It has an amazing picture and sound. Easy to navigate menus and easy to configure settings. It comes with Smartcast with a huge catalog of apps available. I've got all my streaming needs covered with my Vizio and that's why I love it.

Has trouble connecting

Overall it's a pretty sleek-looking TV and has decent quality for the size. The connection to Wifi though is very poor and often disconnects and has to restart. My connection is strong and I don't have any issues with any of my other devices so it has to be the machine. I've asked friends to try it at their home to test it and they've encountered a similar issue - sometimes the TV can't even detect their own wifi even with a direct connection to the port using an ethernet cable. Because of this, the "Cast" capabilities are also pretty poor (it took me like 3 hours to watch a single episode on HBO because I kept have to restart the connection). Thankfully I don't have to use the TV since I have it in my room for when my roommates annoy me but this is a pretty significant problem. I've learned to live with it and when it works it works great.

Best FREE TV EVER!

I actually found my tv on the side of the road.. with the remote taped to the back of it. I stopped, knocked on the door of the house it was in front of, and asked if the tv still worked. They replied, "yes, but it keeps going back to the old settings. The screen is perfect, except its way too big for the screen". Once I got it home, disinfected it and the remote. Upon wiping the remote's buttons.. I discovered that the corner of the little bitty "zoom" button was stuck down in the remote. I simply unplucked and now it works fine. However, the tv is very slow to respond to the remote, which gets very aggravating. Overall, I love my tv and would recommend it to my friends.
