The fabric is a nice and soft. It is a thin fabric perfect for spring/ fall or while participating athletic events. The pockets are very handy. It seems that they might run a little bit large. The length was good, but it was generous through the waist.

These pants have a cute design, comfortable, and have a side pocket but they are a bit baggy in the crotch area for my 8 year old daughter. I had to rile the pants once so they look like they fit better and don't fall down. My daughter is a bit petite but these are pretty lose and baggy at the top and fit well in the legs and the length.

The fabric was soft and comfortable. My daughter loved the side pockets. The only complaint was that it was too short. It came to just above her ankles which is what the product claimed. However, she likes them to go all the way to her socks and these didn't. She is 11 and I think they would definitely be too short for 12yr olds. The waist was snug but not too tight.
