I received a free product for the purpose of my honest review and I must say, I'm truly pleased! The scent smells so good but it's not overpowering. It made our clothes clean, soft, and will definitely use it again. I'm glad it came with multiple packets and excited to continue using it.

I'm one of those parents that take 10 minutes to read the ingredients and every review possible. This brand is so trust worthy that I've used their products with my newborn son. The detergents are gentle yet effective! I have very sensitive skin and my son has eczema. Neither of us have had any reactions or irritated skin with any 7th Generation product.

I have been using this laundry detergent for a few years now and I love it. It gets my cloth diapers and my husband's uniforms clean without any smelly residue. My husband and oldest daughter have sensitive skin so we love detergents that are "free & clear".

I received a sample of the lavender scented detergent, which I tried, and it cleans about average. I like that I can trust the ingredients but my husband and step son weren't happy about smelling like flowers. And it's a bit pricey for my wallet, especially with so many brands offering natural options.

This product change my way to see I can help the planet and still do my laundry without harming anyone such as our beautiful animals! It's smell amazing and fhe clothes come out so soft! I really recommend this product! I already added it to my weekly shopping list!

It smells really good, and was excellent for my sensitive skin, particularly as a child when I would get rashes from most detergents. It isn't as effective at stain removal or deep laundering as some other detergents, and it is fairly expensive, but these things are likely due to the excellent fact that the company is environmentally conscious

We have used Seventh Generation's Free & Clear laundry detergent and have been very pleased at how effectively it cleans stains and odors (does not cover up with heavy fragrance). Organic stains are no match for this line. I have found nothing that cleans better; therefore, it is the better value. That is why we wash our clothes, is it not? I received 3 sample-sized packets of the laundry detergent for free for the purpose of my review. I decided to test them out on toddler clothes, my and my husband's clothes, and my husband's sweat- and dirt-stained and sun-drenched work clothes. In all three instances the detergent did its job. Food stains on my toddler's clothes weren't removed any better or worse than other detergents that I have tried. The sweat, dirt, and sun-drenched smell did not come out from my husband's clothes, but I honestly was not expecting it to come out given the state of the clothes. Overall, I was satisfied with how clean the clothes came out. Although I do appreciate that the laundry detergent is free of dyes and synthetic fragrances, I do take issue with some of the synthetic ingredients in the detergent. The detergent contains sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), benzisothiazolinone, and methylisothiazolinone, which, in addition to some other ingredients, resulted in the detergent earning a grade of “D” from the Environmental Working Group (EWG). Sodium lauryl sulfate, benzisothiazolinone, and methylisothiazolinone are of concern when it comes to aquatic toxicity, skin irritation, allergies, and damage, as well as organ and immune system toxicity. I do think this detergent is better than other commercial/chemical-laden detergents found at mass retailers; however, I was disappointed at the ingredients and the EWG ranking in this “natural” detergent since it comes from a company that prides itself on being natural and environmentally friendly. Because of my concern over the use of benzisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, and SLS, I will not be using Seventh Generation Free & Clear Laundry Detergent.
