"It's amazing" is quite an exaggeration, and a cheap marketing trick. But I am very happy with this dehumidifier. While not quiet (when are they?), it's consistent, does a great job of reducing humidity, and has an easy-to-access filter and reservoir. I did get the extended warranty, just in case. But this baby is SOLID!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first humidifier, same make and model number, blew up one night possibly due to passing thunderstorms and my improperly wired outlet (discovered, and fixed after the fact). I didn't hesitate to buy another. I bought a separate humidity gauge for my basement to verify the humidifier's numbers were at least reasonably similar, and they are. The filter is easy to clean and the bucket is simple to empty. My only complaint, and I imagine this is true of all humdifiers with containers which need to be emptied by the user is, after a while mold will form in the reservoir and the reservoir is not easy to clean.

I have had this about a month and it has done a wonderful Job.. I had another brand before this one and I like the appearance much better and also runs so much cheaper than the old one. And that it does the job of taking the moisture out of the house... Love it...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this for about 2 weeks and am very happy with it. I am using it mostly in the basement and lower level of our split-level house (about 800 sq ft each level). It works very quickly and is not too loud. I like that the fan has a high/low setting so I can change to a low fan if I want less noise. The bucket holds a lot of water. My only complaint is that the bucket does not pour well. It's fine if you are dumping it in a large sink or tub, but I often empty to a bucket to reuse the water. I have to be very careful or a lot of water misses the bucket. Overall, I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

I bought this about 45 days ago--looks to be working really well in our basement. It is not too loud, and seems to be doing a good job. We hooked it up to a hose so that the water would drain directly into our sump pump. Very easy to do, and no leaks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, this unit has kept my 2000 sq ft house comfortable. The only thing is I wish it came with a drain hose. A normal garden hose is what I'm using (the cheapest I could buy) and it's not very flexible. Since I have this unit in my laundry room, routing the hose is challenging. Otherwise, I am completely satisfied.

My new Frigidaire dehumidifier needed to be emptied within 10 hours and again in about 10 hours . If kept closed it only needs emptied every three days with the humidity set at 55 % . Great appliance .

I bought this to get rid of the musty smell on one side of our house. Since it's been plugged in, I've had to empty it every day! Who knew there was so much moisture in the room. It improved the smell the first day. I'll have incredible biceps from lifting and emptying the reservoir if this continues.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this dehumidifier for at least a month now and it is humming along doing its job nicely. I've hooked it up to a hose because emptying the bin became a 4x daily chore. The only difficulty was that the dehumidifier has to be higher than wherever it drains to. I put it up on a table next to a utility sink in my basement and we are both very happy. It's pretty quiet and most importantly it does what it's supposed to do really well!

Bought original unit in July 2013, but it failed to work in spring of 2014. Contacted Frigidare to replace. The process was smooth and easy. Received new unit in late June 2014. Plugged it in and it started removing water immediately. Has worked well since. As long as it works next year, I'll be happy.
