When my dehumidifier reaches the humidity selection it just keeps running. Right now I have it set at 50% and the display reads 50% and it is still running and making the basement hot. It will shut off if I raise humidity selection then continue to run when it reaches new setting.

It is paramount that external noise be eliminated for clarity in her work. This little guy is quiet and productive, allowing them both to get their work done without interruption! We love Frigidaire!

Initially appeared to be a good product. Quiet, easy to empty basket. Seemed to do the job well. Product quit working after one month, would run but quit collecting water. Luckily I was able to return it. This was my second Frigidaire dehumidifier, first one worked for about 2 years. Won't buy this brand again. Don't know why Consumers Reports recommends them.

Less than one month - the fan keeps getting loud & noisier & humidity control setting does not work properly. Set at 65 and continues to go down to 55. I have followed manual instructions to no avail. Would not recommend. Plus I have no faith now in the '.org' website that recommended the unit as a top choice.

This review is for the 50 pint. Purchased in June of 2019. The best pros about this unit I find, is: It dehumidifies excellently. And it doesnt' rumble and rattle loudly like the old school humidifiers of the 80s or 90s. The strange con is: Frigidaire designed the control panel to feature auto-regulation of the humidity level percentage. (in other words, that you can set/enter the humidity level that you want the unit to maintain the room at). But, bizarrely, this is absolutely a non-functioning feature. A falsely listed feature, so to say. This unit is not, in fact, capable of auto regulating to the humidity setting entered by the user. The only way it will turn off/stop running, is if the bucket is full, or if it is manually turned off. I would be curious to hear Frigidaire's explanation of why they incorporated a false / non functioning feature into the control panel. The timer setting works, as far as if you want to set the unit to turn on and off at certain intervals of time. But that's the only user controlled pre-setting ability that works. My last comment is that the bucket removal is not smooth. It will require fenagling every time. Engineering design for the bucket removal could have definitely been way better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in PA where summers are hot and humid. bought this dehumidifier's predecessor in 2013 and it kept my 24' X 36' basement dry as a bone. Only used it during the summer months. After 6 years the old one died and I bought this updated unit. Unpacked it, plugged it in and it's doing a great job. I empty the unit manually and do not run off via hose. Noise level is minimal. Very happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Selected for several reasons. 1. Quality-previously owned same brand, lasted for many years with continuous use. I use it in a large climate controlled shed in Florida where the humidity is always high. The air conditioner could not keep up with the moisture. 2. Design features- intake is on the front and the continuous outflow is on the back which is the most logical design. The continuous outflow is easy access. 3. Works as advertised, easy set up, easy to use and logical control buttons, easy mobility on castors. Excellent product.

I have owned four "Other Brands" over the years and all seemed to work satisfactory out-of-the-box for the first year or two, but ALL were fairly noisy ... And all have ceased to work after 3 or 4 years (out of warranty) and I was told by the Manufacturers that this is the 'normal' life expectancy of all dehumidifiers these days!!! ... So, on to my 5th purchase, this Frigidaire ... So far, so good ... Actually, so far, SO GREAT!!! ... UNBELIVEABLY QUIET, other than a whisper from the fan, I couldn't even here the compressor kicking in and out ... I actually didn't think it was working at first, but after a couple hours the moisture began to trickle out of the drain hose ... After the next 24/48 hrs the humidity had dropped significantly in my basement, and has 'almost silently' maintained a very comfortable level ever since, appx 3 months!! ... Hopefully, this unit will last longer than than it's predecessors, but it's definitely off to a great start ... I was so impressed that I even went back to the store where I purchased it and told the sales rep how pleased I was, and based on that, he said that he was going to buy one for his house too ... HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone that reads this !!!

After researching many different products, my husband was most pleased with the features of this Frigidaire. It is doing a great job in our basement, keeping the humidity at a steady level, and doing so very quietly. We are very happy with this dehumidifier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this two months ago and have had it running almost constantly since then. It's pulling moisture out! We do not have a basement so I move this between my kitchen (at night) and a bedroom (daytime). I like white noise as I sleep but this is too loud to sleep in the same room with, even at low speed. Our home is 1400 square feet but because there are so many rooms, I believe it has a hard time keeping the humidity consistent from one end of the house to the other. That is to be expected in my opinion. I'm happy I can easily wheel it to the room I want to put it in and I'm happy I got this size vs. a smaller one so that I can reduce the humidity quickly. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the long-term has yet to be proven. I also wish there was a way to easily clean out the tank.
