Protecting our environment and belongings every day!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this when we moved into a new townhouse. We stored many of our totes in the garage for the summer. This kept the humidity levels low enough to protect our heirlooms and other belongings until we could move them into the main part of the house. Now, it is back in our living space, keeping our basement level home office protected from extra humidity daily! I trust Frigidaire and this product has been an excellent and reliable workhorse for my family! I only wish I could clean out the water reservoir easier to keep it cleaner.

Quiet

This is the second Frigidaire dehumidifier I have owned. Same model. The first one worked great. My new one I purchased 1 month ago does not work very well. I can run for 3 days and have less than a quart of water in the tank. It should be full everyday with the humid weather we have. Very poor product.

Only worked one summer before it started leaking

I bought this 3 years ago and 2 years ago it started leaking when it was just out of warranty. It leaks out of the bottom on the back side. I've cleaned it and still leaks. It's too expensive to buy one every three years when you only use it 4 months a year. Called customer service but they are too busy to take calls and hang up on you. NOT HAPPY!

First time use - the dreaded EC error code

I received this dehumidifier in less than a week. After following the instructions for first time usage, the machine produced the "EC" error code on three attempts. The machine has the fan blowing but could not catch one drop of moisture on all three attempts. The voltage used is 110 volt AC, 60 Hz in North America. The surrounding temperatures are between 63 degrees and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. At this time, I am absolutely not recommending this Frigidaire dehumidifier to anyone.

Gosh Satterj! I hate to hear that you have experienced any matter with your dehumidifier. Typically, an “EC” message is dealing with the operating conditions. The outlet voltage should be 115V±10% and the surrounding temperature should be within the range of 41 °F to 96 °F. You would want to unplug the unit and plug it in again under normal operating conditions. BROKE WITHIN 2 MONTHS

While lifting up to empty it the container the handle broke the container hit the floor and cracked open. Now it leaks!
