[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our second Fridgidaire dehumidifier we have purchased. The first ran for nearly 3 years straight without a problem. We purchased this one a couple of months ago and it works just as well and I expect it to last just as long.

We have this unit in our bedroom because we have excess moisture in that part of the house. I had been running it continuously overnight so that it wouldn't wake us up turning off & on but then I got our electric bill. It went up approx. $45. So now I leave it on 60% during the day while I'm working to keep the moisture down and then turn it off overnight. As far as noise, it is a little loud but since it's running during the day, it's not a disturbance. Definitely a good product and does it's job well!

The difference it made at our residence (in the 1000 SF great room) was immediately noticeable. We wish now (that the unit has been discontinued) that we would have purchased 2 or 3 more units for additional areas in the house where moisture tends to accumulate during hot, humid, NC summers

I live in the Southeast and learned quickly that a basement house here just has to have a good functioning dehumidifier in the basement to control the mildew. My first Frigidaire was purchased in the early 80's and lasted about 10 years. That first unit really worked great and ended-up at the dump because it didn't have a filter and I didn't clean out the intake. My second unit was a bit smaller (I saved a few $) but the savings wasn't worth it, I was constantly dumping the water bucket because the unit was too small for the area I was controlling. Even though it was smaller than the first, it still lasted more than 10 years Being a little older now, it is harder to get up and down the steps to the basement so I splurged this past year and bought the larger, 50 pint unit and it is working just as good as the earlier ones and is saving my back. I try to keep my basement at a little less than 40% humidity and this year I purchased a humidity and found that my unit was actually getting 37% or 38% when it was set at 45%, the only thing I have found lacking in the unit.

After flooding issues in our house I was advised to pick up a de-humidifier. I read good reviews about the Frigidaire and bought it. I have been amazed at how much moisture it pulls out of the air. Very good unit that has worked perfectly for months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We plugged it in and emptied it within 12 hours! We've had it for about a month and have been so happy with the decreased humidity in our finished basement. Highly recommend. Not too loud, but does have a hi/lo fan option, too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit replaced a ten year old Frigidaire unit. The control panel is very easy to use and significantly improved over older models. The water container has also been upgraded, is easier to remove and uses clear plastic so you can see if there is any mold buildup. This model automatically restarts after a power failure which older versions did not. The filter is easily accessible for cleaning and a reminder light comes on when it is time for it to be periodically cleaned. The unit is fairly quiet.

This is the third Frigidaire dehumidifier we have purchased over the years. One for the garage 9 years ago and recently the 50 pint one for the finished basement this year. Others are on the market, but I trust Frigidaire for the effectiveness and durability.We purchased the larger one so that we did not have to move the garagae dehumidifier from one area to another and then back.

I needed a dehumidifier for a 400 square foot space. This works so effectively that I only have to turn it on for a few hours a day to get the humidity to a desirable level. As far as noise, it is not bad, although there is a slight humming sound when it is on that prevents it from being simply white noise, although it isn't a problem. I really like this dehumidifier. .
