After research and comparison with other brands I chose this unit based on it's features, ratings, and customer satisfaction. Features such as set & forget humidity control, continuous drain option, two fan speeds, effortless filter removal/cleaning, etc. Have been pleased so far with my purchase.

After years of solving the flooding problems, I started sealing the basement walls and I needed to get the moisture out of the basement. The first 12 hours after purchasing my Frigidaire Dehumidifier I removed over two gallons of water. There were some mold spots and they were cleaned up. Within one week I noticed the air was better and the musty smell was gone. My basement is divided and I was so impressed with the Dehumidifier I bought another one and put that one in the other section of the basement. Once again the musty smell was going away. I had to attach a hose to the Dehumidifier because it was taking out so much moisture in the air, I was dumping the water container twice a day. Now that my walls are up in the first section of the basement, I noticed the Dehumidifier doesn't kick on so much. A couple of times I had to check it to see if it was still working! The other section of the basement I noticed the Dehumidifier is still running. Looks like I will have to seal those walls. I love the Dehumidifier and it does a great job!

It is a good machine, well build, not 5 stars because can be noisy. the Design is ok but to great, the water container is a bit tricky to empty if you do not have a large sink, I also wished the wheels were removable and that it had a wall mount option. I have it now for more than a month, and it really makes a huge difference, humidity was at 60% before now I can keep the apt at around 40-45%.

We've only had this dehumidifier a few weeks. In that period, we find it to do the job well and it is easy to empty. It rolls easily. The filter is easy to clean. For the price, it is a good unit. It is, however, quite loud, even when the fan is set on "lo". Since we use it in the basement, this does not concern us.

It's quiet and does a good job the only thing wrong is the bucket is hard to empty without spilling water on the floor maybe I just have to get use to it . The delivery was fast I got it in 2 days and the price was better than any where else I checked. I'm happy with it.

Also the water collected I pour outside on some vegetation. I love it has wheels its so easy to move around if needed. Overall this unit is so easy to use. I'm very happy I purchased it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took approximately 2 weeks at full speed to absorb the moisture in my basement. It's working very well. At first, I was emptying sometimes twice a day. Recently, I noticed the space is drier and my little dehumidifier is doing it's job!

Once the weather turned cooler here in the northwest, an amazing amount of condensation would pool up on my windows, dripping down to the windowsill, leading to some mold and decay. From what I understand, much of this is because the windows have aluminum siding and they are not double paned (my neighbor said the same thing would happen to him, but no longer after he got vinyl windows). I did not have the cash to change my windows, so I got this instead. It works great...no more concendsation on the windows each morning! Perceived loudness is a relative factor, of course, but it is not too noisy for me. I am really pleased with it.

Does a great job decreasing the humidity and is quieter than my first dehumidifier. Shuts off when it reaches desired humidity. Only cons: the humidistat reads 10% higher than actual humidity (based on a freestanding hygrometer) so you need to play with the setting until you get the humidity you want; and the hose drain worked at first but now the collection bucket fills up.
