[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a competitor's unit that had begun leaking into the carpet of our finished basement (with office) before I realized it was doing so! My old unit was also so noisy I had to turn it off whenever I wanted to use the phone (which is often!). This model is much quieter and I keep it running 24/7. I no longer have to get up from my desk every time I want to make or receive a phone call.

I've been using this product for a couple of months, and it's performed reliably and efficiently. It's reasonably quiet, for a dehumidifier, but not something that I would want running in the middle of my living room or kitchen all the time. I'm quite please, especially if it lasts at least as long as its 5 year warranty!

Before I bought this Humidifier I read the ratings that other customers gave about this humidifier. This humidifier works very well. I set the hours that I want it to run and it does just that. It has really worked well in my cellar/game room, it keeps it so much cooler. I am happy that I purchased this humidifier.

It is in our basement which is carpeted and has a pipe organ, pump organ, and player piano. I need dependability. This Frigidaire is perfect!!

Our 20 year old basement dehumidifier stopped working and we needed a replacement. I read all reviews about numerous brands of dehumidifiers. The Frigidaire stood out among all. Since we received it, it is performing as it should. It is quiet and all the bells and whistles work. So far, I give it a 5 star rating. However, a year or two from now, I hope I can say the same things I'm saying today. Then I will really be satisfied and impressed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been running this in a 30x40 pole barn and it has the humidity down to 35% to 40%. I have a hose hooked up to it and have been running it continuously but just today set the level to 35%. It has been hot outside, upper 90's heat index, and it feels like the barn is air conditioned. The barn has spray foam insulation.

This Frigidaire Dehumidifier effectively removed the odor and excess moisture within one day of using the product. We are very happy with our choice and find this product is the best at keeping the humidity levels at a satisfactory level. It shuts off when the "bucket" is full and it's very easy to empty and put back.

I'm overall very pleased with this machine. It has reduced the humidity in my 1000 sq ft house from around 70-75% to around 50 or 55% pretty consistently. It does run pretty much constantly but the results have been great. I'm amazed by how much water it pulls out of our air. I believe it has reduced the mold in my house during rainy weather and even improved our health as a result! My only complaint is that it's kind of loud. My decibel meter reads over 80 dB when placed next to it. I like to move it out of the room when I watch TV.

I'm not certain why but lately the first floor of my house started to smell musty. I bought Frigidaire's humidifier after researching on Consumers Report. It is well build, easy to set up and it has worked well. I was shocked at how much water collected. I need to move and so need to get rid of the house oder.
