[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our cellar was humid and last month we noticed we were beginning to get mold, so I immediately shopped for a dehumidifier. This one seemed appropriate and I put it into service right away. It quickly brought the humidity down to an appropriate level and we have been satisfied with the result (though we still had to clean up some mold, of course). It was filling its bucket about three times a day, so I connected a hose for continuous drainage, and that has worked well. I don't have to check it as often. The built-in humidity monitor, which shows ambient humidity (at 5% intervals) other than when you're actually setting the desired level, differs with a separate, more accurate humidistat that I have on a nearby shelf; but this is a minor thing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It pulls a lot of water out of the air each day. I have to run it on low fan or else I have to empty it more than once a day. It's keeping the whole basement at a 40% humidity level, which is just right. I would recommend this, absolutely.

Works well removing humility but it does heat up the 1200 square foot finished basement quite a bit. Temperature is about 5 degrees warmer when it runs continuously. The humidity monitor is also off about 5% on my unit compared to my two hydrometers. Overall it's a good unit with no issues over 2 months.

Only had it for a week but seems to remove a lot of water. Had a GE for 3 years and it lost it's Freon. Wouldn't recommend a GE even though consumer reports rated it high. I think a dehumidifier should last more than 3 years. The old ones lasted 20 years.

It draws moisture out of the air very well, but does not shut off when it reaches the humidity level setting - even if I set it higher. I do like the timer function, though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace another Frigidaire dehumidifier that was about 20+ years old. As with all the Frigidaire products I've had over the years, I expect this to work perfectly and last a long time.

We had to return this item because the water holding tank had a split in it. Looks as if some one had returned the item. It was marked with a magic marker were the tank was split. We did not notice this until after we noticed the water leak. Wal mart should have been told about the problem and it should not have been shipped out to another customer. We had purchased another one like this a year ago and we loved it.

It Great ! I got 2 week ago my basement is Dry for the first time and we have had a lot of rain , and it doesn't Stink anymore , you know like mildew smell and this unit kept right on top of it. am sorry i didn't buy one soon and you can't go wrong with Frigidaire product .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced an older unit and can't believe how much quieter and more effective this new unit is. I should have bought this years ago. It removes a lot more moisture than my older unit that this unit replaced. It is also much quieter (no unit is silent that has a compressor and fan), and we are very pleased overall. Nice cabinet and easy to set the humidity level that you want to obtain. It also will display the actual humidity in the room. You can select high or low fan speed (we use low speed). Very satisfied.
