Poor treadlife performance

These tires were stock on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They performed well when they were new; however, upon recent inspection the treads are worn down (~2/32”) and require replacement after only 32k miles. The tires were rotated at 5k and always maintained at the proper pressure. Very disappointed in the short life span, especially considering how much these tires cost.

WORST TIRE I'VE EVER OWNED - TERRIBLE ON ICE AND SNOW

These tires came on my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee. With the pandemic and working from home, I can't speak to the tire life. I will state that they are quiet and grip well on drive pavement. They are okay on wet pavement. And, unfortunately, they are TERRIBLE in snow and icy conditions. I bought winter tires for her Jeep. Night and day difference when driving in winter. I don't recommend them.

MATT, Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the Premier LTX in snow and icy conditions, however all-season tires do have limitations when driving in winter conditions, and winter tires are necessary.

Worst Michelin Performance ever

I have had Michelin tires on my vehicles for over 30 years and been completely satisfied with their performance. In April '16 I put the 2nd set of Michelin on my 2010 Lexus RX 350. Was advised to put Premier LTX on. Have been nothing but disappointments since. Had tires installed and balanced and bounced all away home. Had tires re-balanced twice after installation to no prevail. Due to Michelin 30 day satisfaction guarantee I was able to get a second set but again to no prevail. Bounced all away home. Finally took vehicle to Lexus car dealership and had them Road Force Balanced. Never have had to do such to just be able to drive.

Great ride but POOR tread life!

These tires came factory installed on my 2020 Buic Envision. I just purchased the car as it was a lease. After the full inspection of the car at the dealer, the ONLY thing that they found was the the car need new tires. At only 32K miles this is almost HALF of the TREAD WARRANTY (60,000 miles).

Excellent traction. Good ride.

I have these Premier LTX's installed on my 2011 Honda CR-V (4WD). Had them put on in May of 2018 at 63,000mi and have driven 7,000mi on them so far. They're quiet and offer a nice ride with great grip and very good handling albeit for an all season tire. What I'm most impressed with to this point however is this tires performance in wet conditions and especially in snowy conditions. I live in the Hudson Valley of New York and we just got our first snowfall of the season. We got about 4-6” of snow that came in hard and fast. So fast that right in the midst of the snowfall, I had to go get my daughter from day care. I had no problem at all getting through to and back from day care safely. Not only did I not have any problems but I easily passed many cars that got stuck on hills, were off the road and that had gotten into accidents. Two main roads on my way home were closed due to accidents so I had to take the long way around and while the weather was scary, my daughter and I were safe and warm our entire ride home in spite of the mayhem going on around us at times. Yes, I'm sure the CR-V's 4WD system helped and I was grateful to have it as well but I think the Michelin Premier LTX's were even more of a factor in giving us the safe and secure ride home we enjoyed. As I said, I've only got 7,000mi on these tires and they still look new so I can't speak to their tread life but I'm otherwise very happy with this admittedly expensive tire purchase.

Horrible wear and mediocre wet road performance

I bought the Premier LTX for my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee after years of buying the Defender LTX MS/2. The Premier was advertised as having a better grip and improved wet road performance, so I paid the higher price and tried a new tire. After about 25-30,000 miles, I am entirely disappointed. The wet road performance of the Premier was not as confident as the LTX MS/2, and in addition the tires wore out very quickly. To make matters worse the Premier tires were more expensive. I would never buy the Premiers again.

Quiet and smooth riding

I recently purchased four Premier LTX for my Highlander. My previous tires were Michelin LTS M/S2. The LTS M/S2 were very loud and incredably hard riding. They felt like they were filled with concrete. I am really impressed by how quiet and smooth riding the Premier LTX tires are. Just a huge improvement. I did not give the tires 5 stars because I do not know how well they will work in the rain and snow.

Poor tread life

The Premier LTX tires came with my new 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 4 years and 43,000 miles later I'm told I need new tires. I've rotated the tires regularly and expected 60,000 miles per warranty. I've always liked Michelin tires but will look for another manufacturer after this experience.

Chris2019, the original tires on your 2019 Grand Cherokee have a warranty to cover workmanship and materials, however there is no mileage warranty on original equipment tires. Please give us a call at 866-866-6605 to further discuss.

Road Noise and Tread Growl

Tried to save money and purchased a highly rated tire from another company. $100 less per tire. Road noise was horrible, even though reviews noted how incredibly quiet these tires are. Returned them and had Premier LTX tires put on car. My research indicated these were very quiet tires, and hey, they were Michelins so what could go wrong! Boy, I was mistaken. The Michelins at $100 more per tire are incredibly noisy. Indeed, no better than the first tires, and I'm out a considerable amount of money. Very disappointed.

Premature tread wear

Came on new 2018 GMC. Past couple months haven't feel vehicle handling well, sliding at stops, spinning at slow acceleration in wet or snowy weather, hydroplaning in rain & sliding around corners in snow. Went in for inspection at 1 yr & tires are down to 3/32 depth of 8. Only 20k mi. on a 60k mi. tire. Felt like something was wrong with the tires & the dealership confirmed.
