I've had Roku devices for many years. I've currently got 4 running right now and stream exclusively using these devices. While most of the time, they work great, there are some frustrating moments. I'll focus on the problems with these devices and leave other reviews to sing the praise. Problem 1 - remote just goes nuts at times. At least several times a week, the remote refuses to work. None of the buttons respond. Pulling the batteries and plugging back in seems to always correct the problem. No idea what its doing or why it forgets the remote. I could use the remote, sit it down, pick it back up 5 minutes later and the remote not work. Something poor on design there. Problem 2 - remote refuses to operate the TV periodically. Every so often, the remote claims it doesn't work with TVs. I guess that volume switch on the side is supposed to be for looks at that moment in time. Even though the volume button may have worked 30 minutes ago, TV support is apparently not supported until I reboot the device. This is a bigger pain than when it refuses to see the remote (#1 above). Luckily this only seems to happen once every couple of weeks. Problem 3 - For whatever brain dead reason at Roku, they decided the auto power off feature that is available on my 4 year old Roku 4 can't be supported on the newest Ultra 2019 model. According to their support page, they have some excuse about a fan. What does that have to do with anything? Obviously in this day and age of streaming, internet usage and caps, you don't want to forget and leave your streaming device on. This is the biggest and most stupid decision I can imagine on Roku's technical front. Hey, lets make a streaming device, give older models a way to turn off automatically and then drop it. Overall, I happier than I'm dissatisfied with the devices. Maybe mainly because I don't really have many, if any, alternatives. The apps built into TVs are just sad at best on most models. I'll keep using these until someone knocks them off the shelf. Maybe they'll focus on their hardware more than trying to be a streaming provider one day in the future and get back to innovating.

6 weeks old Express + will not load Apple TV app, but App is on list. Stuck in a Roku loop! Absolutely zero human customer support. Apple said it was Roku issue. On Roku HOLD for many hours (and multiple days) and online customer service has no help for this issue. Will try Firestick.

I have purchased and exchanged the ultra 2 hoping it would not crash and reboot so often . I Have experienced around 60 days or so the product begins to reboot more often . Every thing else is great though love the remote with audio jack but the batteries drain ridiculously I mean every week if used 3-4 hours a day. I find myself using the roku app on phone and connecting headphones through phone to save on AA batteries. all and all I love Roku and look forward to improved product in the future. Currently I am using my premier + and TCL Roku tv . Separately . I am considering investing in the sound at to replace my premiere plus but I need it to have a great sb for my external hd. That is why I came today to check out the spec and if so to purchase. We shall see...

I use both of my ULTRA players often. They are faster than I can push the remote and once set-up, you can streamline it so that everything flows with ease. Everything from YouTube to all of my movies on VUDU to Disney+Plus are all right there and with ease. I've had other streaming players but this is the BMW of them all.

I have gone through threee different ROKU devices (Premier, Stick, and ultimate) and all three have had issues connecting to my wireless network. Let it be known that I have multiple other devices (TV's iPhone, Ipads, thermostat, Laptop/Mac Book), that connect with absolutely no issues. Lukily, I was able to use the ethernet option when I went to the ROKU ultimate, and of course, it works great like that. I am using the recommended security settings on my router, and I have a Netgear Nighthawk Extender providing semless wifi throughout the house. You guys need to figutre this one out. Restarts and resets do not solve issue.

I purchased ROKU products from day one and have always been satisfied. I had this Roku device for 2 years & never had a problem until a few months ago. The box would shut down and give me the animated ROKU screen---whether I used it wireless or ethernet. I am using Comcast for internet. I have other Roku devices and they all seem to work well.

Got my first Roku for Christmas 2019. Works great. Plenty of storage without sd card but I added a 16gb sd card anyway. Volume controls work great with my vizio tv. So far so good. No complaints. It can also be used with a WiFi hotspot if you have enough data and speed.

Great device to replace a Fire Stick

Worth the money. Love the headphone input. Now I can watch TV without waking the hubby.

Quality streamer and better than cable and better than any other streaming box.
