The headphones stop working repeatedly after a short period of use. This has woke my household up so many times including our baby. I have the old Roku 3 at home that also uses headphones and it's NEVER done this. So they up charge for a better product, for a product that doesn't work. I've had the product since March.

Dont waste your money unless you want to have to stream on multiple devices. HBO max has been out for months and Roku can not get it done to get this service available. it is now doing the same with Peacock. Only a matter of time before others follow. Begining of the end unless Roku updates its business model

I bought an LG smart tv that has it's own content system. It is hard to use and has limited content. If I had know this I probably would have bought a lower priced smart tv and most likely one one with Roku built in. I used Roku many years ago and was happy but somehow stopped using it (don't remember why sor what happened.) I also have an Amazon Fire stick that I am not happy with as it prefers to favor Amazon stuff. Roku ranks number one in my book.

I just bought a streaming Stick + and an Ultra to cut the cable. Watch out - Your ISP will have data caps - exceed those and you pay a lot more .... Some services allow you to "dial down" the video streaming quality which may help if those are your primary source. Hulu doesn't have data saver settings with live streaming so you will probably exceed the data caps. Be prepared to go back to cable .... I will be soon.

I've had a Roku for years and it's worked pretty well. It had all the jacks I needed to connect it to my kind of cheap but modern TV and my vintage stereo. But I signed up for DisneyPlus and it wasn't supported so I got a Roku Ultra. And guess what? The genius engineers moved the headphone jack from the box to the remote. So now, how exactly am I supposed to connect to my stereo? Use the remote for some kind of stupid wifi station and then use the app on my phone for my remote. Do you guys even bother to think about how other people might use these things before you "improve" them or just other geeks?

I have had Roku's going back to the first/second generations, and have always stuck by them. I still like the number of channels and simple format. Unfortunately I have purchased several of the Ultra models from the most recent generation, and they are just junk. If you use the remote's power button to turn the tv off, it will just turn right back on. They freeze or randomly dump you out, and now Hulu locks up over and over, but I can cast it from my phone to my tv with no problems. I am done, and sorry I purchased so many as gifts and recommended them for so long. Guess I will try out just using the tv's built in system, Firetv and casting and see which I like the best.

I've had an older Roku for several years and bought this one to upgrade. Am very disappointed that the cable for connection to the TV (without which the Roku can NOT be used) was not included in the box with the device, so I have to order one and wait for it to arrive. It is bad not to include it or even state on the box or online product description that the customer will have to buy one before connecting and setting up the Roku. This lack takes away from the product.

Save your money. Buy one of the cheaper ones. They last longer. The extra features that cause this to cost more, aren't worth it. I've only had mine for 4 months. The Ethernet port stopped working, using headphones drains the battery extremely fast, & the picture has become pixelated. I switched back to the stick.

We have a good WiFi signal and the Roku can't hold the signal! Never can watch what I want when I want. Using the Xfinity Stream is even worse! It's a joke! Never works makes me reboot my entire router just to connect when it won't. My family loves that when I take down the WiFi for a robot. And add some numbers to the stupid remote! The voice button is worthless too.

I've been a roku user for a few years, and until I got my new TV I was a big fan. As with all the reviews, interface app availability, etc.. it's a pretty solid streaming device. That is until I got a TV that supports Dolby Vision. I spent thousands of dollars on a new TV, receiver and an Atmos setup. I was really really bummed to find out that Roku doesn't support DV. Nor is there any indication that they will. I don't get how Roku consistently gets tops reviews, yet doesn't support a major feature of 4k viewing. Unfortunately, I'll be looking elsewhere for a new streaming device until Roku decides they actually want to be the best.
