Some spreaders can go out of calibration over time and should be checked periodically. Did you overlap properly? With broadcast spreaders, you want to overlap about 1 foot on each swath. With drop spreaders, you want to line up your wheel marks. Were you walking faster or slower than usual? Your walking pace will affect the rate of application.
