Finally threw this away. Setup impossible. Does not come wit USB which is required for setup. Setup with Mac requires download. Still would not work. No customer service phone for help. Emailed them and got stock answer from website which I had already read several times. Bad bad experience. Would not buy Brother product again.

I don't like black appliances. Black is the color of malevolence. Black sedans. Black leather jackets. Black Harleys and black trucks. But I returned the Xerox printer because it didn't work right and it didn't work right on purpose, they made it that way. This Brother, you plug it in, you run the install, and it works. It's frighteningly cheap and lightweight but it works.

For over a decade I bought HP printers, thinking they dominated the market for a reason. The last three HP devices were all buggy, and prone to problems after software updates. All of them stopped working after only two or three years of use, and the per-page cost of printing on HP printers proved to be much higher than advertised. So I decided to try a Brother printer, and have been delighted with the trouble free performance. Highly recommended!

After years of frustration with inkjet printers, particularly ink drying out, I bought this printer and am totally satisfied with it. It was a no brainer to set up with a USB connection. It makes perfect copies. Most of what I need to print doesn't require color, so this excellent value is perfect for my needs and my budget.

My old printer refused to print after only about two years. Apparently, I used it so infrequently that the ink jets clogged. Or maybe it was because it needed a new cartridge of magenta. Or maybe there was a problem with its wi-fi conection to the computer. I could not figure out the error message on my computer screen or on the printer's display. Finally, I decided that a printer should not be so frustrating. This Brother printer is exactly what I needed. It was easy to set up, and it is easy to operate. It works well. I gave up color and wi-fi, but gained low-maintenance and reliability.

Very disappointing! No USB cable included.

Love this newer model,more convenient for me to use and put away.
