We have had this printer for about a month now and have really used it to its full potential. We bought this printer so we could print our plant tags and it sure does an excellent job. We have no complaints whatsoever with this printer...in fact, I can not say enough good things about it. All our printers, scanners and faxes are BROTHER and we will never use anything else. The reliability, cost of ink, and speed make this printer great for businesses, like our Plant Nursery!

This is the best printer that have ever owned. I have HP printers for years now but they always end up breaking after about a year of easy use. Bought this printer and have had not problems. Always quick and easy so fancy settings for do-dads just straight forward great quality. Would recommend to anyone needing a printer.

As the AR/AP Specialist in our office, I do a LOT of printing on a daily basis. I needed my own small printer because I spent a good portion of my day jumping up and down grabbing things off of our main printer. This little printer does NOT disappoint! It prints clearly and the toner has a high yield. I definitely recommend this printer!

I always buy Brother for black and white printing. I needed one for temporary, simple office setup during a move, and this one works perfectly. It is cord connected only, so no wireless printing on this one. Make sure you have the desk space.. and the cord!

This inexpensive printer works great. I paid 4 times this price for a HP laser printer back in year 2000. Printer is very fast and everything works great. Installing was simple and loading the tray is easy. I recommend using high quality paper 28 pound laser paper.

This was a beautiful machine, but I wanted it to make copies on, along with printing capabilities. It was easy to set up and very, very quiet when in printing mode. Believe me, for the price, I would have kept this machine in a heart-beat if it had copying capabilities.

Very disappointed with the print quality of this brand new printer (HL-L2300D). It has a new Brother toner cartridge and drum. I've gone through all the maintenance items suggested by Brother to no effect. It started out with excellent quality but after only a few weeks of moderate use, the quality has diminished.

Pros: Great machine at a very reasonable price. It laser prints automatic double-sided b&w plus lots of printing options, all in a very small package. I rest my laptop on top of it so the footprint is minimal. It must be reasonably close to the computer since it must be connected to the computer with an Ethernet cable. Cons: My only issue is why it prints on both sides of the paper when there is only one page to print. My Brother MFC knows not to do this. Conclusion: This is probably the best deal out there for a b&w laser printer.

It's so unfortunate that the reviews for this great lil' guy suffered so horribly from a bunch of angry people posting about their missing USB cords. Honestly, are they angry at the printer? Seems as though they're ranting and yelling with no plot line, cause they're angry at themselves. I'd be angry at myself too if I didn't have to basic logical ability necessary to pick up the phone and handle the missing USB cord with either the Brother company itself, or the Best Buy store or online chat options! Why in Gods name would you run out and order or purchase the missing USB cord yourself, AND come write grammatically inept reviews about the missing USB cord? In that time, you could've requested a replacement cord from Best Buy, or telephoned the Brother Corp for a replacement cord, or both, and eaten lunch while day dreaming about all the beautiful black and white pages this baby is gonna print for you when you get your cord! Seriously, this prints accurately, swiftly, and quietly. Brother never disappoints, and it's so nice to have the option for a more basic option to fill the void in the market for a fantastic, monochrome, compact laser printer. For the price point, you absolutely will not find anything with better performance and functionality. Even in the next tier up, if I was willing to some $75-100 more, I'd still land on this one! Hope everyone had as good as an experience as I did! Oh, and p.s., mine came without a USB cord.

I thought I was replacing and older Brother HL-L2300 printer, after being very satisfied with it, it was wireless and I didn't know this one had to wired to my computer. It looked just like my old one on the surface. But I still love it in my office. I plan on purchasing another wireless one soon, so I can carry my laptop to the other room and print elsewhere.
