Got tired of continually buying ink-jet printer ink at horribly inflated prices. The printers even use up color ink when printing black! Well no more! Enter the brother 2300D. Prints MUCH faster than ink-jets, equal quality or better, and doesn't waste ink. Very fairly priced. A great buy.

Brother is an excellent printer, my husband has an DCP-L 2540DW, I have an HL-L 2370DW, bought October 2019, but the ink cartridges are way to expensive , so that is why I bought the HL-L 2300d, I had an 2300 for years and the drum went out. When I replaces it with the 2370 did not know I needed to buy a different ink cartridge. To bad I am stuck with a great machine only 7 months old. I work mortgages out of my home and do a lot of printing.

The toner cartridges last a very long time and prints more pages than what is stated. I wish I purchased this printer ages ago. You will not be disappointed with this one.

Unfortunately, in the 3-4 weeks I have had the printer, I have never been able to print anything. The printer only prints the demo sheets and/or combines with other single printed sheets. Really frustrating. I have not been able to print any documents (i.e. bank statement, confirmation of orders pending, etc.)

Best B&W printer ever at a great low cost. Superb quality prints, send your print order and it turns itself on, prints the job, then turns itself off. Easy peasy! What more could I ask for? Oh yeah, more copies per ink cartridge than you'd believe possible.

I bought this monochromatic printer for home use to replace a new Epson printer that requires color ink cartridges that cost as much as the printer itself (I have no need for color copies and the Epson printer did not allow monochromatic printing). The set-up for the Brother printer was troublesome, as I was unable to establish a wireless connection, but I bought the appropriate cable and it is now hard-wired and working flawlessly (after a few weeks off use and a few dozen copies made). I expect the oversize ink cartridge to last and be substantially more economical than the Epson cartridges. On balance, I recommend this printer as a reliable, economical workhorse.

Had a paper feeder jam after the connection to my computer was accidentally interrupted went on YouTube couldn't find anything searched the internet found the brother website which redirected me back to a Brother support YouTube video. It explained process of clearing the jam easily and completely. Love my HL-L2300D.

For the money the printer is great and easy to set up. It is a little noisy and somewhat slow starting to print, but that might be my network. Once printing it is relatively fast. Both side printing is easily attained saving paper. It is compact and fits into a small space which I have. Hooking it up to my network was easy making it possible to print from other computers. It would have been nice if it had wireless printing also. I definitely would have paid a little more for it. Overall I am glad I bought it.

Before purchasing my new printer, I asked for suggestions from family and friends. Brother was the one most recommended and I'm so glad it's in my home office now! I did not need to print in color so this black and white printer is ideal for my needs. Its paper tray holds plenty and the printing is clear and dark - perfect for me!

This printer is really easy to set up and saves toner. I'm a journalism student so I'm constantly printing things and one toner cartridge lasted me three semesters. The cartridges are very reasonably priced. I would give it five stars but this printer has so few features.
