We've had our Temper-Cloud Elite mattress for a month, and I am still on the fence about whether it was worth the cost or not. I bought it knowing it is a fairly unyielding surface when you first sit or lie on it, but hoping that all the hype about it would mean having a higher quality sleep over the whole night. I still miss sinking down onto a softer mattress to read in bed, and so far I have not noticed less pain in my joints during the night or upon waking. I also don't notice any less tossing and turning than with my former mattress. It didn't take any time to get used to it, and it's not uncomfortable, but I can't say I'm getting a better sleep so far. Don't hate it, don't love it. As for the pillows, none of the choices were flat enough and I don't like sleeping on such a hard, unyielding surface. I'm like the Princess and the Pea, I guess.

We've had this mattress for 10 years and love it! One major issue we've had is that there is a rather large crack in the mattress that formed about 5 years ago. It's in a section of the mattress that doesn't completely impact our ability to sleep, which is why we still have the mattress. Given that this is an expensive mattress I would have expected better quality.

filed warranty claim - denied for invalid reason stating blue cover was sewn on and I cut it - which is a lie my blue cover has a zipper around half of it and I removed to show mattress as requested. I don't understand if in warranty department how do you not know your product.

For years, I have been unable to sleep a full night in a bed. I've tried sleep number, adjustable with foam mattress, adjustable with innerspring mattress, even a Zero-G adjustable bed. None of them worked for me. Since my first night with a Zero-G adjustable coupled with a Tempur-pedic mattress, I have been able to sleep all night, every night. Thank you, Tempur-pedic

I don't know the kind of mattress I have but it is the 8" original mattress and I have had three of these mattresses. I have bought over $2000 worth of sheets to try to fit the 8" mattress. I have even had sheets made for the bed however the material pilled and threw two sets away ( and $$$). I called tempur-pedic and they do not have a sheet that fits an 8" mattress. So unless you want to wake up each morning in a tangled mess of sheet, don't buy this mattress or the 10" or the 12" as the deep pocket sheets don't fit. Very frustrated that I cannot find a solution and husband says get rid of all beds as he is tired of the bed mess.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As expected from the largest memory foam mattress brand the quality was too notch. Mattress is a single piece while more inferior brands may be 2, no sagging on the sides yet at least, mattress doesn't sleep hotter then other memory foam. Where it lacks is it should sleep noticably cooler with the price point tempurpedic has vs the competition. Overall great mattress but at their price I'm sure a competitor could underfoot then by 50% with near same quality.

The mattress was firm when we got it. After a few years, I noticed that it was losing its firmness, thus creating an uncomfortable situation. If I got to the middle of the bed, I would feel like I was rolling downhill. I contacted the company directly and got written off without anyone looking at it. When I contacted them back the manager that I talked with was rude. Nothing was done. With the mattress failing to live up to the hype and the factory's 10-year warranty being useless, I would not recommend this product.

I tried to break it in. I had my 2 grand children, who are toddlers jump on it to break it in, as suggested by sales person. I use a heated mattress pad, which is supposed to soften it, but after 3 weeks, it still feels like sleeping on several sheets of cardboard. Not soft at all, unyielding, uncomfortable, and unwelcoming. I called today about exchanging this mattress for something that will be much softer, and more suitable to someone that has had back surgery.

I have found that the hard thing about temperpedic mattresses is the breaking in period. Once that is done there is nothing more comfortable than a temperpedic mattress. I don't toss and turn at night and am able to get good sleep and awake refreshed and rested
