I bought 5 today. They are bright and work great. Two things to watch out for: 1) The end with the pull chain gets hot and will burn you - ALL 5 got hot! the two units I measured reached 189deg and 192deg Fahrenheit. 2) The surface mounting holes are not set up for 16" or 24" on center rafters and I do not like hanging anything from drywall let alone a ceiling light (Mine are hanging on the chains and they still got hot).

I have bought 9 of these units, 5 at one time, 4 at another. When I bought the second batch, I noticed 2 of the first units began blinking like Christmas lights. So, I returned those 2 units and Sam's was great and exchanged them. I installed 3 of the other units I bought and now have 8 hung. I am still having issues with the lights blinking. I have 2 more that I am going to be returning for exchange. The price is nice, but the quality of the units is not so much. I will have returned almost 1/2 of the units I bought and am sure i will be returning more in the future. I'm keeping my eye out fro another fixture to buy so I can replace all the units.
