LED Shoplight works great and gives a lot of the right color light for great visibility in my garage and basement work areas. However, try to buy them in-store rather than on-line because FEDEX pretty much destroyed the packaging getting them to me. Fortunately, the lights still worked even after all the abuse they went through.

LED Shoplight

Easy to install although made for plug in installation.  My installation required hard wiring but that wasn't hard as when cutting the plug off, the wires were nicely colored to allow easy hard wiring.  It should also be noted that the wiring appears to be copper wire, not aluminum clad wiring.  Light works well and offers the ability to plug another into this light.

Bright Shop Light

Great value. Multi use. Bright and low heat output. Used them with a 48 inch wire shelving unit to create plant nursery for seedlings and bedding plants.

Works well for starting seedlings

Very nice lights. They are durable and bright. I bought and used about 20 of them then bought 6 more. I have been using them to replace fluorescent ceiling lights that quit working. Usually the old ones fail because the ballast goes bad. The lights are cheaper than replacement ballasts. They also make nice work lights under & over a car.

Excellent Light

Has a 5' plug-in cord, so if going on ceiling it needs a recepticle box or add more plug wire.  My shop (20x20) has drop ceiling so I put in 3 bxs, each above each lite and wired them in series.  Lites were light enough to wing-molly them to the ceiling tile.  These replaced 3 4-bulb flourescents.  Brighter light, no flickering in cold weather, and no replacement bulbs.

Good quality

WONDERFULLY BRIGHT. I bought two of these for my utility room. They are bright enough for all my needs, and because there are maybe a hundred LED lights arranged in two rows down the four foot length of the light, I don't have to worry about harsh shadows in my work area. 

HARD TO MOUNT FLUSH. Because of the configuration of the ceiling of my utility room, I needed to mount these flush to the ceiling. J-hook screws and hanging chains were provided, but I did not use those. It was an EXCELLENT thing that on the top of the light, there were two double-stem keyhole slots provided for screwhead mounting. However, the top cover of the light was fixed (not removable), so it became an exhausting challenge to hold the light to the ceiling and move it around blindly until I found the screwheads in the ceiling with the screwhead slots on the light fixture. There was no template included to use for measuring where to put the screws, so I measured the distance (1/4" less than 36") between the screwhead slots on the fixture, and that's where I put the panhead screws in the ceiling. Because the screwhead slots were double-stemmed, it made it easier to find the second ceiling screwhead once the first was mounted. But because the top cover of the fixture was not removable, I could not easily mount it to the ceiling, nor could I tighten the screws once it was mounted. 

If you want to suspend your light fixture from the provided J-hook screws and hanging chains, then mounting should be easier for you.

STANDARD, GROUNDED PLUG ONLY. Most ceiling light fixtures you will use this to replace will be hard wired with light bulbs. This fixture has ONLY a standard polarized grounded plug, so be certain you have a place to plug it in.You might need to hire an electrician to install an outlet box if you do not have one readily available.

Nice and Bright, but Not Easy to Mount Flush

I have purchased at least 6 of these LED shop lights to re-outfit my shop.  However, I have had at least three of them stop working within the first few months that they were installed.  I wasn't able to install them all at once.  I contacted the company about one of them, and it took months, but they did send me a replacement light.  I had not kept the boxes on the other two and did not have all the numbers.  I never expected LEDs to quit working so quickly.  I don't have a lot of confidence that they are going to last a long time.  There is a 5 year warranty, but you have to go through a bunch of hassle to get them replaced.

worried about longevity

I punched ten shop lights less than a year ago and so far three have failed. I have sent requested information for warranty replacements, but that process is very slow and not optimistic I'll ever receive anything. I would not recommend this product.

In The Dark

Recieved damaged and missing all hardware and paperwork. As usual FedEx destroys everything, but Sam's Club keeps using them. USPS and UPS are much better options but Sam's keeps using Fed Ex.
