I wasnt happy to see these instead of the Jimmy Dean variant which I bought for years. But, I bought them expecting a fat and grease bomb after cooking, and was planning on returning to stick it to the Sams buyer. Instead I was pretty surprised. The same amount or slightly less grease when cooked. Watch your temp and adjust cooking time because of this, less fat = faster burn (or whatever the saying is) which might account for the couple grissle complaints. The majority of the time I need sausage crumbles so I flip after 2 minutes, cook another 1 minute, then seperate and cook to temp/no pink. Flavor is good, probably better than good if I wasn't biased to Jimmy Deans flavor. Comparing to Jimmy Dean I'd rate a 4. But to be fair, mada in USA, good price, decent flavor, cooks up well. I'd buy again, if JD not available. 5 star.

This sausage is convenient to use. It comes in frozen patties that go right into the pan and cook up in barely more time than fresh (unfrozen) sausage. It is quality southern sausage. Cooks up with less fat than comparable products. The seasoning is really good. This package is three pounds and usually costs about the same as the 2.5# packages at the grocery store.

I have been buying these sausage patties for a long time glad Sam's carry them they are cheaper in Sam's than other stores.

Showed up in Layton, Utah only once. Great product for cooking ease, texture, less grease and taste. So disappointed it has not been restocked. Can't even request it to be shipped in to local club.

My freezer always has these Purnell's sausage patties inside! My kids love these and it is so easy to fix a few at a time before school and for a group of kids on the weekends. I like how you can cook a few at a time or all at once. They are excellent quality and taste fantastic.

I buy this Sausage on a regular basis. Absolutely love it. Has great spices in it. Cooks up quickly. Very good value at Sams compared to other stores. I do wish it was carried in hot flavor, but still love this Sausage. My go to favorite Sausage. The Sausage patties do not have much fat and does not shrink much at all. Perfect to fit inside a biscuit.

We buy two of these boxes about once a month. We quickly grill on flat top grill whole package, using six patties for morning casserole and refrigerate the other 24 for every other morning with Pillsbury Junior Grand 's biscuits. We crumble the six patties for the morning casserole to eat 1/4 of every other day.
