Skip a Step in Drying

The best part about this is that you don't have to worry about dryer sheets. One less thing to think about when doing laundry! Love that and it works the same as dryer sheets. The bad thing is if you ever have to remove the bar from your dryer, the sticker part is hard to get off. I was moving, and had a hard time getting the sticker glue gunk off. That was a pain.

Great idea but Doesn't Work for me

I bought this with high hopes however I pull my kids sweat clothes and underwear out of the dryer and they are all sticking together with static... it's pretty bad! I gave it about a month and it didn't get better, so now I am back to adding fabric softer into the washing machine. I really don't notice a scent at all, and it could be working for softening; I honestly don't know

Hi Cherie! There are a few things that could be causing this static cling including type of fabric and dryer temperature. If you give us a call at 1-855-236-3353 we may be able to help figure out the cause. Thanks for trying our dryer bar!

It's all right

i did not have any issues with the bar coming unstuck or wearing down quickly. i wash about 6 loads of laundry a week, so if i washed more it may have been used more quickly. i also got the unscented version, so maybe this has something to do with it? My issue was that the clothes came out with so much static cling on them, my husband actually started putting a bounce dryer sheet in along with the bar when he did the laundry. It seems the sheets are more effective at making the clothes fresh AND static free, and cost less.

False Advertising

Color me dumb... I tried more bars than I care to admit because I really wanted this dryer bar idea to work. A 4 month bar last about 3 weeks if I am lucky. All the kids age gone so it is just Husband and me. 2 complete set of clothes a day, dish towels, and sheets as needed and the bar is down to the grid under the bar in 3 weeks (sometimes less). The bar does not control static as advertised and it collects lose thread which embed themselves into the bar. After a few loads you have to peal off the thread or the bar cannot do the job it claims to do. I really wanted this bar to work, but the truth is it doesn't do what it claims, nor does it last anywhere near as long as it says it does. On a positive note, I have never experience the bar breaking up or the holder attached to the drier wall detaching it self. I love the concept, but the reality is not what Procter & Gamble claim. After reviewing the handful of reviews regarding this product more than 90% were BAD. P&G needs to go back to the drawing board and redesign this product or take it off the market all together. Great idea, poor execution! I only gave this product one star because giving it NONE was not an option.

Love the Freshness, Not So Happy with the Static Control

I have always loved the smell of Bounce, and the first thing that struck me about the Dryer Bar was that it made not only my laundry, but my whole laundry room, smell fresh and clean. For about the first week of use, I was very pleased, and didn't miss dryer sheets at all. In fact, I really liked the convenience of not having to remember to throw in a sheet. But after the first week, or week and a half, I noticed that my clothes were getting more and more static. The freshness was still there, but the static control had slacked off considerably. I don't recall exactly how long it took me to toss a dryer sheet in with the bar, but it wasn't nearly as long as the manufacturers say the Dryer Bar is supposed to last. I didn't have any issues with the adhesion of the bar, though, as some of the other reviewers have; it stuck right to the dryer and stayed there with no problems. I wouldn't necessarily say this is a bad product - like I said, it was great at first - but I wouldn't recommend it simply because of its ultimate ineffectiveness against static cling.

My experience with the bounce dryer bar....

Actually, I had no problems with this bar at all. As a matter of fact, my washing machine hardly cleans clothes at all. It is old and slowly "failing." Sure, the clothes are cleaned by the detergent and water, but there is always something missing once they are done. The dryer bar did the trick - made the clothes smell so nice, clean and fresh when they came out of the dryer. I really liked using this product and was sorry when it was gone.

So Easy...Love It!

There are five of us in our home, so it seems we are constantly doing laundry. I was very pleased with this product. It saved a step in my drying process and left my clothes smelling, clean, fresh, soft and without static. I had no negative effects with this product. I would use it again and recommend it to others!

Getting a Bounce on Clean

Since some relatives were due in for a visit, it was time to clean the upstairs. The kids are all gone so it has a life of its own going on up there, mostly in the form of dust kittens, spiders and at the present time, 15 gallons of wine-to-be that is fermenting! I discovered a little trick a few years ago. I would dab a bit of Murphy's Oil Soap around here there and things smell “clean” for quite some time. To add to my bag of cleaning tricks, I have discovered the Bounce dryer bar. Yes, a bar of Bounce that you attach to the inside of your dryer that lasts for a long time and gives your clothes that nice clean smell for a long time. I used it for all the sheets and bedding for my quests and they will think that I keep a clean and fresh upstairs! Oh joy. Thanks, Bounce, for helping me continue my cleaning charade. And best of all, my clothes are now all so fresh and clean smelling and it's been weeks since the relatives visited. Nice!

bounce dryer bar

I loved the bounce dryer bar the first time I used it. When it was gone I purchased another and I am so disappointed with it! It wont stick in my dryer and it starts thumping around in my dryer and I have to go get it out or it sticks to my clothes. It is chunking off, it is horribly disappointing after the first one was so great. Now I must go back to fabric softner in the rinse cycle of my washer.

No More Wispy Sheets!

A while back, BlogHer and Bounce got together and sent me a Bounce Bar for my dryer. I gave it a whirl. All you do is fasten the holder inside the drum of your dryer and snap a fresh bar into place. Then, you do nothing for a couple of months (for me, it was about eight weeks--your mileage may vary, as do the dryer bar sizes). Nothing! Well, you do laundry. But what you're not doing is chasing down wispy sheets of polyester something after each load. You don't really have to think about it. At all. Which, given the kind of housekeeper I was raised to be, really works well for me. The less I have to think about, the better. I do have a minor gripe about the product: It's a tad tacky. Not goopy, not gloppy, not outright sticky. But after the first use, there was a coating of lint on the surface of the bar and it kind of icked me out. I tried to peel it off, but because the bar had cooled down, it was sort of set in it. I left it alone after that, and the trace of lint had no impact on the usefulness of the product. I found that it also makes my lint stickier. Yes, that sounds strange but I noticed that my lint catcher is more difficult to clean after a load--the soft grey sheet of fuzz doesn't just peel nicely off the mesh. It sticks...ever so slightly. Just enough that I have to work it a bit. It's not enough to keep me from using the product again.
