I actually love this seasoning, except for a couple of things: it's Cuban, SO jalapeño doesnt belong in it (Cuban food isn't spicy by any means, but it IS well-seasoned). My other minor gripe is that it's quite cumin-forward, in a way Cuban seasoning generally isn't (oregano, bay leaf, onion, and garlic, on the other hand? Yes, yes, yes, and YES). So we'll knock off half a point for coming close, but missing the mark a bit. No worries, I'll still use it, but it'd probably be better on some carnitas or pollo asado Mexican style than on my ropa vieja or pernil asado. :)

I believe it works best on poultry, as it isn't strong enough to overcome the flavors of other meat or even the flavor of grilling. While it includes jalapeños, it is in no way spicy. Those who like mild spice will enjoy it.
