My first Flat screen tv
Feel free to laugh as I realize flat screen TVs have been out for years now, but I believe in using something until it quits before replacing it. That brings me to 2013 before buying my first flat screen tv. I spent many hours researching my different options. Did I want LED, LCD, plasma, SMART capabilities, 120 vs 60hz, etc.. When I finally decided I on this Vizio, I was very hesitant because I was purchasing it online instead of in the store. It arrived a day earlier than expected in excellent condition. I only wish that Walmart had required a delivery signature. It would make sense considering the cost of replacing the item! Needless to say, I LOVE THIS TV!!!! It was better than expected in every way. The picture is amazing. I have brought people over just see it and they are equally impressed. I never understood what the big deal about HD was. Now, I completely get it. There are some programs where it almost feels like you could stick your hand right into the picture. I have already recommended it many times and will continue to do so. This product was definitely worth my money!
Smart TV Newcomer
My husband and I are in love with this TV. With our old TV we were using a PC hook up so we can us the computer on the big screen because it was convenient. Now with this TV no more wires no more PC inside our Bedroom. This Big Guy is sitting all by itself on our bedroom dresser. The set up was easy and the HD quality is insane. We were watching 'The Croods' in Super HD quality and it definitely lived up to its name. If you haven't purchased this kind of TV before you should. It is worth it.
Meh.. Headaches, LED Lighting Issues
I bought this tv at an amazing price using Wal Marts Holiday Price Match feature on a day where Best Buy was holding a one day super sale on it, so as you can imagine I was super pumped. I was upgrading from my 42in LCD Magnavox, which I have owned for about 4 years. After having the TV set up for about a month, Im now contemplating a return or selling it at a discounted value of what Wal-Mart is selling it for. Let me tell you why.. .. CONS *PICTURE- First off, I'm not trying to totally knock Vizio or this tv itself, as it could just be a personal issue I have. Im 30 yrs old and have never had an issue watching a tv and getting headaches until this one. I can't watch the tv for more than 30 mins without getting eye strain and headache symptons. I have tried to adjust anything and everything with the picture and my vision is just not adjusting! This particular TV uses the LED Backlighting Feature, which you can dim, but it flickers when dimmed. The factory picture settings on the TV are awful, so if you do end up buying this, your going to have to tinker your settings to your own liking. I have watched tons sports, movies, played video games in a span of a month but have yet to find a picture setting that I can enjoy and stare at the screen without having an issue. I dont think the tv is 120hz as its stated, there are times it seems the picture is trying to catch up with the action while watching football, or just recently watching a blu ray the motion of the movie just seemed off. As of right now, I have gone with the RETAIL SETTING, with some personal adjustments, it's crazy bright, but you don't notice the flickering lights as much with the Backlight turned up to 100%. I did contact Vizio's Customer service, just to see if they could help me with setting up the picture, and they told me I need to see my eye docotor!?? Ok, well thanks for that. I'll end this con by saying, I can watch my 42inch LCD all day long, without any issues, maybe there arent as many features, and its not a "Smart" TV, but the picture is clear and doesnt leave me rubbing my head and eyes constantly! Also, the Smart TV features are pretty basic, it's all the same stuff that you'd get with a gaming system or Blu Ray Player. If you own one of those, don't let the "Smart" features sell you! Again I don't want to totally knock the tv, and Im sure there are plenty of ppl who would love this tv, there are some great PROS... 4 HDMI Ports- Perfect if you use multiple devices on your tv that support HD Super Slim and Light Weight, so easy to move around if your not sure what room you want it in and easy to get behind if you need to plug in another device
This tv is the best value you could possibly find, the features this tv boasts is very impressive, similar models from Samsung and Panasonic are going to get well over $1000. the wifi is fluid and responsive and all the apps work extremely well. love the thin frame, makes the screen look that much bigger. this tv is virtually perfect....I own a samsing led and love it, but this vizio takes the cake with its crisp picture, and honestly has the best audio ive ever heard out of a flat screen which is really impressive. go buy this tv. now!!
LOVE this TV!
Best purchase I've made in a long time! My family and I absolutely LOVE this TV! The picture in awesome, sound quality is great and the built-in Wi-Fi is fun to use. The slim frame makes the 50" screen appear mucn larger. I highly recommend purchasing this VIZIO!

Disappointed..50 Inches of bitter/sweetness
Well it simply makes no sense buying a product online which your money is good enough to have it shipped to your country but your money is not good enough to allow you to be availed of all the features. I downloaded app after app for movies and none worked. They all said they were not available in the Caribbean. The credit card would not be accepted as it only wanted US cards. Come on. So why would I buy a smart TV if it could do nothing but show everyone and everything bigger that a normal TV. I am disappointed because I feel as if my money has less value than people in the US....Which it does, but let's just say I paid the same amount that any American would have had to pay and I am NOT impressed...The faster VIZIO and WALMART can address this, the faster I can come back and edit my ire to pleasure.
Good purchase
We have a Vizio TV in our bedroom and are very happy with it so when we saw the Black Friday pricing on this 50 inch TV we decided to get it for our great room. Our TV was still working, but was starting to have issues often and we had been looking for a new TV off and on. The price was excellent and the TV works and looks great. We had an issue that the picture would get lighter and darker, not a huge difference, but it was noticeable. I chatted online with a Vizio tech and after telling him our problem, he suggested changing a few settings in the advanced picture menu, which I did and that cleared up the issue. So, the price was right, the TV is great and the support is great also....."...it's a no brainier. Buy a Vizio. My only problem with this purchase was, I wanted to use time payments which. Is offered in the store, but it is not offered with online purchases. I don't understand the difference........if you have a Sam's charge and can get time payments in the store, why not online.
Awesome Value !
I love this TV. The standard picture is good, but changed it to Vivid and It is perfect. The led makes all the difference in the world. I also love the small frame, makes the screen look even larger then the 50" that it is. Was not looking to buy a smart TV, but have set up nexflix and that is a bonus. The manual is available on the Vizio site, and the only thing that could be improved is, a box to do a specific search on what you are looking for. You have to look at the index to find the information. Customer service is excellent and very helpful ! I did buy this TV at the store, did not want to take a chance of any damage from shipping. This decision was made from a previous review online, which I appreciated.

I like this TV
Got this tv for my rental home. For the price it is an excellent TV, once I had it on, my workers didn't want to work, they couldn't take their eyes of the TV. I am pretty happy with my purchase. Also when it was time to pick it up in Naples Juliet blv., the fellow that helped me with it was soooo usefull, he helped me finding a BBq and other things for my rental. His suggestions were better that what I would of thought by myself. All an All a great experience.
Ok for price
I guess I didn't do enough research on the whole Smart TV deal. Vizio doesn't give you the option to go to a web browser. If I would've know this at the time of purchase I would've bought a Samsung instead because that Smart TV has a lot of better apps and you can go to the web browser from there.
