This butterfly bush and especially weigela deep pink flowers, you will have to soak them for a few days before planting. Right now, one of them is growing. Hopefully, it will continue to grow.

Very disappointing. A complete waste of money and time. I spent time amending the soil, making sure that the root were always wet, what little roots they were. And one box didn’t even have a plant in it and the sticks that were planted have been in the ground for over 30 days and nothing‘s happening.

I purchased this product and like everyone else nothing happened. Sam's club should be ashamed of selling products that has no worth, making consumers spend their hard earned money on nothing. Please folks think on this before you buy, unless you just like giving money away.

Both plants were dead in just a few weeks, would not buy again!

I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing. I planted exactly as instructed. Spent time and money mixing in good garden soil and peat moss (as suggested) to give it best start. The box says it's in dormant state, which looks dead, but will come alive once planted. I dug 10" hole (as per instructions), mixed in amendments, covered with mulch (also suggested on box) and watered appropriately. It's been 3 weeks and the same dried up brown stick is the only thing there. No life has begun. It is obviously a waste of $15 plus all the soil, amendments and mulch for a dead plant. I will never buy anything from Sam's in the future without reading reviews. Always purchase live plants, seeds, etc from a nursery or even somewhere like Home Depot/Lowe's as they will stand by their products and replace or refund for you.

I was really excited to plant these. Got the pink one planted, opened the purple butterfly one and it was all sawdist, no root or anything. Needless to say I'm disappointed as 2 boxes of various Members Mark perrenial roots were either dead or missing

Did not contain the butterfly bush. Package contained only sawdust with no plant. Very disappointing. Would not recommend any Members Mark bulbs or roots. I also bought peonies and echinacea that were also missing some plants. Negative stars

Both of the bushes died once they were planted. Save your money and leave these in their box on the shelves. I'm a master gardener and these still did not grow . L

Got these expecting them to still be alive. Went to plant and they where dead before i even planted them. I tried to plant them the same day
