The packaging was made with high quality material and the grains were protected. The actual grits were as I remembered as a girl. They were dry, very yellow and had a slight corn smell, but not overpowering. I bought this for long-term preparations and have repackaged the contents into rodent proof plastics. However, I have pulled out a quart to use now. Cooks longer than instant grits, but well worth the wait. The price for what I received was phenomenal. Thanks

These grits are outstanding and so much more flavorful than white hominy grits. It will be hard for me to go back to white grits after enjoying the robust corn flavor of these yellow grits. Fast delivery and one year until best by date. Would recommedn and will buy again.

If you order these, be aware that the bag will say corn meal. It actually is corn grits. The company explained that they call all of what they produce corn meal, it comes In varying grinds from flour to grits. Very good grits.

I am from Louisiana where we all grew up eating creamy yellow grits. I now live in St Louis and haven't been able to get any grits comparable until now. Price is less than any we have been able to find online and the taste and texture is perfect!!!!! We will definitely order more !
