Excellent choice for my minivan!

I had these tires installed about 3 months ago and I absolutely love them. I drive alot with commuting and taking longer trips for work/leisure and have put on about 10,000 miles so far on them (the tread doesn't seem to be wearing quickly). The first thing I noticed was how quiet and smooth they were. Also, they perform really well in the rain. I've driven through some very hard rainstorms and they haven't hydroplanned even at higher speeds. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't see an increase in fuel economy but my van is pretty old and has other issues that I think are affecting that. Either way I'm very satisfied with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid long lasting tire.

LOVE these tires!!

I passed no less than 10 cars this morning who had spun out from ice and snow covered roads. Last night, my Defenders got me home through a wicked snow storm - stops, starts, up and down PA hills - all without so much as a single slip. Yes, I'm more cautious in the snow than I used to be in my younger days, but these tires are by far the best tires I've ever owned. The only down side is they can be a tad noisy and you do feel a few more bumps (not so sure about the increased gas mileage either) but I can live with all of that if they keep me and my car on the road and not into a ditch! These tires have been worth the investment I made and I couldn't be more pleased with their performance. Buy and drive these Michelins with confidence.

Defender Tires on CRV Better Than Stock

Replaced the stock tires on our 2010 CRV after 45k miles. The Defenders ride much smoother and quieter than originals. I expect they will last much longer, too. We have driven in a lot of heavy rain this Summer and they handle very well in downpour conditions. I can't think of any issues or problems with the Defender tire so far (~5k miles). I have a set of Harmony tires on my Civic. I don't even remember when I bought them....4-5 years ago and ~80k miles....not quite at the wear bars, yet.

Quality

I have defenders on my Dodge Caravan and they have been very good. The traction difference between these and previous tires is night and day in rain or snow. And driving in Michigan to work, weather changes as you blink an eye at times. Also the gas mileage for my van has been better and with gas at almost 4 a gallon at times these tires have more than paid for themselves.

BEST RIDE EVER!!

These 4 tires are the best Michelins I have had on my vehicle. This is the third set of Michelins, the other two were Hydro Edge, which were excellent as well but did not give the nice ride like these Defenders. The other wonderful difference in these Defender tires is that my minivan handles like it has never handled before in the 22 years I have owned it, since it was brand new. I hope Michelin continues to make the Defender.

Improvements needed.

I have run Michelin Hydro Edge Tires on my Windstar and 1970 Nova for years. They are a great tire. When I went to replace them on my 1970 Nova I found that Michelin has replaced this tire with the Defender. The tire looks good but after running two of them on my Nova I have found that they are pretty good except the traction is not as good as with the Hydro-Edge. I wish that you could go back to the Hydro-Edge as far as traction both dry and wet.

So Far...So Good...except gas mileage

I've had these tires for about a month and so far, so good. I haven't had much experience in the rain with them yet, just on dry pavement. These tires make my ride very smooth and quiet. My only complaint about the tires is that I seem to be going through more gas than I did with worn tires. Maybe that will change when I break them in more. Atleast I am hoping so because gas has been very costly where I live and I drive a lot of miles for my work. Overall, I am pleased with these tires.

Outstanding!

I've bought 2 sets of these for 2 different cars. If the traction stays this good throughout the 90,000 mile guarantee these will be the best tire's I've ever owned in all my years of driving. Snow traction is top notch and it's not even a winter tire.

Greatest tire I have ever had on a vehic

We have taken two long road trips since we had the Defenders installed and they are the quietest and smoothest tires that I have ever had on any of my vehicles. I am 75 years old and have gone through my share of tires. The Defenders are hands down the best tire I have ever had. Because of the mileage warranty these are a really good buy when you break the price down as cost per mile. I am very pleased.

A Great All-around Tire

These are great tires for driving in the snow or rain as well as good weather. I drove from Wisconsin down to Texas through the tail end of Hurricane Sandy. The rain was comming down in buckets all of the way through Oklahoma. I drove through this storm with no trouble with traction or stability. These tires offer great gas mileage. I drove my Chrysler Town and Country on a 300 mile trip and got 29 MPG. There are no better tires!
