"You get what you pay for"

Sure I tried other tires and there is no comparison. I got half the mileage out of other brands and performance wise I felt much safer driving on Michelin's. The performance of the tire and mileage I get out of a set of Michelin's is worth a little more money.

I only use Michelin tires.

I have done a lot of traveling through the years, sometimes over 30,000 miles in a year and I have found Michelin tires to be the best. They give a nice quiet ride, have great handling in all weather conditions, great wear life, improve fuel efficiency, they brake well and offer a comfortable ride. I would recommend them to anyone.

Better than I could imagine

I replaced a set of Harmonys which had 82,500 miles on them, which still had 3-4/32 tread, but coming into snowy conditions I had to replace them. The Defender was the best choice being the Harmony was fazing out. The Defender tires are quieter than the Harmony tires, to the point that I can hear the little noises in the van that I had not heard before. Also, now that snow has started to fly here, I'm also impressed with the traction abilities, both on snowy roads and wet roads. I will be replacing tires on our other car with Defenders alsowhen the time comes.

Extremely Quiet

Good tire, well priced, smooth riding and handling. Have only put 2,000 miles on tires, so cannot say superior wear. But, mpg is up from prior set of tires, and this last trip I averaged over 40 mpg. Not bad for me. Much quieter than the prior set of tires, which was the main reason for buying.

LOVE MICHELIN TIRES

Well to start off I actually ordered my tires from a Company that does not carry Michelin and Michelin are the only tires for me!!!!!! I had to try the Defender as I loved what was written about them and I read about them in the CR book. The tires give me the best smoothest ride and they stop with a lot of traction, without moving forward and rolling at all. They stop on a dime! Turning is fantastic just goes no hesitation and they are just GREAT!I have to say it is hard for me to comment on the life of the tire right now as I have only had them less than 6 mos.

45 Years of Michelin

I don't need to rate the tire, I have been buying Michelin for 45 years. In fact I have never bought another brand unless it was on a car that I purchased. I'm retired now but was a salesman on the road for 39 years and wouldn't own any other brand of tire. Over those years living in Minnesota I have driven in almost every kind of condition you can imagine, from ice to snow, heavy rain, hot, cold, gravel, tar, cement you name it, and have always felt safe and confident that the tires on my car wouldn't let me down. My last set of Primacy got me 85,000 miles. Arnie Tietz

Excellent, sturdy tires

These tires are worth the price. They are sturdy and reliable, and easily roll over damaged roads and other dangerous objects. Within the first week of having these tires, I accidentally drove over a broken glass bottle, but the tires didn't pick up any shards. That may just be luck, but I routinely drive down country roads and haven't noticed any damage. The only negative thing I've seen is sometimes the air pressure is low, which hopefully is due to normal wear and tear (I drive an older car). Overall, these tires are definitely worth every penny.

90 Thousand miles in your dreams Defender XT

Rated below average because of mileage claim. Kept tires inflated properly on Honda Oddessy, slow starts & stops Etc. Got 31 ,000 out of this last pair before wear bar evened up with tread. This is not right for such an expensive tire. Other wise very quiet & smooth riding. This is Third set & I finally learned my lesson. Sorry Michelin not again !

Only driven the tires about 8000 miles

This tire is on a Honda Odyssey. The van its self transfers road noise to the inside of the van very strongly. The defender is slightly more noisy than my previous original equipment Michelin, but the defender rides smoothly, has longer wear, good cornering and balances well when my tires are rotated. I rated the tire a 4 star but would have rated it a 4 and a half if that was an option. Other than the slight increase in noise, I would have given it a 5 star.

Defender is not a comfortable ride

Defender tires are one uncomfortable ride. On a dirt road, the tire trapped smaller rocks and created an annoying tick as it rotates. On a paved road, the tire vibrates like an alarm clock. The design of the defender tire needs a serious review and improvement.
