I bought them because of their milage

I installed these tires on a S80 2006 Volvo that came with Michelin tires when I purchased it pre-owned. The car now has 130,000 miles on it and only two sets of Michelin tires for those miles. The Defender tires are guaranteed for 90,000 miles before needing replacement???? So far I'm very happy with the tires. Handling is great and road noise is minimal.

Durability and performance. Important!!

This relatively new tire by Michelin has a durability rating that's outstanding. Aqua planning is at a minimum and my 2007 Honda CRV feels solid on the road. I recommended these tires to a brother in law for his Altima Nissan and he is also very please with there performance.

Defenders they are!

I live in Minnesota. I average 28,000+ miles a year. I travel on all types of roads. I'm 52 but sometimes drive like a spirited 20 year old. I have the Defenders mounted on a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix. The first thing I noticed was how quit they were, then the next day it rained over 1" on my way to work-they performed flawlessly. Winter brought 10"+ snowfalls and I never had a problem. I have over 25,000 on them now and have never been happier with a tire. Michelin you have me hooked, thanks.

Seriously disappointed in these tires

I have owned several sets of Hyrdoedge until they were discontinued.I always got close to the original 80K miles and then Michelin beefed up the rating to 90K miles on the later version of Hydroedge .I religiously have my tires rotated every 5K miles and the air is checked more often. The current set of Defenders I have on my car have 45K miles on them and they are worn. The rating from the garage is 3 out of 10 for treadwear. The price is similar to Hydroedge, the quality no where near it.I have sworn by Michelins for decades but now I'm swearing at them. For such an expensive tire I am seriously disappointed and will replace with another brand.

I am pleased with my new tires.

I am pleased with these tires. I have put 2,000 miles on them in 6 weeks. I do just everyday driving. Like 90% of the time driving my son to school and sports. We have taken a 600 mile round trip on them. My car drives so much better with them and it is quieter.

SUPERIOR IN EVERY WAY

I travel in all kinds of weather on twisting roads in the mountains of western North Carolina---often driving 50 miles round trip several times a week to help care for my 89 year old mother. I have to have a car and a tire I can rely on. So, I chose the Michelin Defender. My last set of tires (also Michelin-the Harmony) lasted for an amazing 71,000 miles. When I needed new tires, I didn't hesitate. These tires RULE the ROAD!!!!!!!!!!

The best of the best

I have been driving Michelin tires for more than 10 years on two vehicles. I know that I can depend on the quality and performance. I get average to better mileage but the car and/or other vehicle drives better and with no viberation or side pulling. I had one small tire problem and Michelin provided an adjustment by phone on the spot. I like Michelin Herman

Defender on 2009 Sebring Conv.

When driving a 2009 Sebring Convertible, the last thing you want is tire trouble. The OEM tires wore out, so after some serious research, I bought the Defender tires. One year and 12K miles later, I know I made the right choice. I am no stranger to Michelin Tires as my other car has MXV4 Michelins on it. You will never regret buying the best tire made, Michelin.

disappointed

I have always purchased Michelin tires when replacing tires on my vehicles, yes I said vehicles, more than one, I purchased the Defender's for a Kia Optima, worst tire I have every had that was made by Michelin, Has to be the noisiest tire I have ever owned, road noise is awful, and I particularly do not care for the ride and the handling this tires does on my 2013 Kia Optima. I will never again purchase the DEFENDER tires.

This is my first set of Michelin tires and all I can say is WOW!. They are great. Quietest tires I have ever owned. Ride is awesome, handling is great. I am very impressed. Higher price used to scare me away but I am a believer in you get what you pay for and I believe I got ALOT with these tires. Nice work Michelin. I am sold.
