When the road throws everything it has at you, you need a Defender! I drive 36 miles on a paper route every morning at 3:30 AM. I need a tire that can stand up to the abuse and the stress that I put to it. The Defender has proven to be tough and reliable in any situation I've encountered. Weaving in and out of cul de sacs and sharp turns can really put wear on a tire. This new Defender is not a directional tire and that works well for me for the constant stress I put on the rim in the many turns I have to navigate. This tire really hugs the road and breaks well on any surface. I feel really safe with this tire in the Seattle weather and road conditions. This tire is quiet and my drive is comfortable. I will buy this tire again, without hesitation.

Put four Michelin long mileage tires on my 99 Subaru Outback years ago and they lasted over 90K miles. Replaced them with long mileage Michelin tires, and some 40K later, they look like new. So I went for the Defenders on my 06 Outback just recently, and I love them. Even with 32 lbs in the tires, car rides very smoothly, and I am getting almost 32 MPG mixed driving. They are much quieter then the tires I took off. Both my son and my daughter are aware of these factors, and I strongly suspect they will put these on when needed. I really do love these tires and will undoubtably always buy long mileage Michelin tires. Finest tires I have ever owned, by far.

These tires are all that you could ask. They are great on wet roads and pull well in the snow. They are quiet and ride very smoothly on the highway. The wear characteristics are unbeatable. I tried another cheaper brand tire...never again! I have learned my lesson. From now on it's Michelins only.

Replaced the original tires on my wife's minivan that gave great service to 65,000 miles. Was hesitant to replace with anything else, but all the reviews were extremely positive, so I gave them a try. So far well worth the change. Great handling, no noticable wear in over 10,000 miles. Great wet weather traction. But I will agree with most reviews, just a bit noisy.

In 2013, I put Michelin Defenders on my 2002 Chevy Cavalier. The car is old but still in great shape, with just over 100,000 miles. Did I need premium level tires? No. Did it make a huge difference from the entry-level tires I was used to having on my vehicle? Absolutely. The ride is more comfortable (which is a feat for this vehicle), and the traction in the rain is incredible, no more slipping. I would recommend this tire to anyone with an older vehicle because it's a more economically priced model of Michelins that will last a long time and offer great performance.

I have been buying Michelin tires for over 30 years and this is my third set of Michelin Defenders (on 3 different vehicles). In my opinion, this is the best tire Michelin has made yet. They are very high mileage (90,000K rating), ride very smooth, and handle well in wet driving conditions. They will have to really do their homework to make a tire better than this one!

I bought these tires for my van just in time. This winter in Michigan is starting off with a punch and what a difference these tires have made in driving in the snow, slush and even the ice that we have been having for the past month. I will be putting a set of these on my wifes car when hers is ready for tires. Thanks Michelin for producing such a great tire.

I own a 2011 Dodge Journey and the change in the feel of the cars ride immediately after they put the Defenders on is nothing short of Amazing! These tires made me feel I'd not only changed the tires but had the entire suspension and steering linkages improved. They were quieter, smoother and more responsive than I'd ever felt the car to be. In fact the ride change felt like that of a smaller and sportier vehicle. Bravo Michelin! Looking forward to many enjoyable miles on my Defender tires!

The Defender provides a smooth dry ride. My family drove from CT to S.C. to attend a funeral. I could not drive or attend. I am back to driving and just drove from CT to VT. Once agai, smooth dry ride. No road noise. Will have to wait for rain and snow performance.

DEFENDERS ARE THE BEST MICHLIN I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. THEY SEEM A LITTLE LOUDER THAN HYDROEDGE BUT WILL GET YOU SAFELY THROUGH ANY KIND OF ROAD WEARTHER AND, AFTER ALL, THAT IS THE POINT. THEY TRULY ARE SHOWING NO WEAR WITH OVER 13,000 MILES ON THEM, THEY STILL LOOK BRAND NEW. THANK YOU MICHELIN MAN!
