My first set of Michelins was the Hydro Edge and I loved them. Michelin replaced the Hydro Edge with the Defender and have kept the high level quality in these tires. I had one set one a Camry and got just under 90k miles on them. I had another set on my Civic and had 92k miles on them. The tires still had thread left, but I knew I would need a set before next winter. I replaced the tires on both cars recently and purchased another set of Defenders.

I have used Michelin tires for decades. I recently switched from the now defunct Hydroedge (noisy and not long lasting but had great traction and stability), to Defender tires. Several issues. First, the tire was not available in my preferred size (215/55/16) necessitating going to a larger (215/60/16) size. Second, the mileage dropped consistently for my car by 20% and as I do mostly highway driving this is a much higher cost factor than anticipated. As a result, I would not recommend Michelin tire changes to anything but the ones that gave you good results. in the first place.

Purchased the Michelin Defender for my 2009 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. WOW what a difference these tires made !! I have had Michelin's on other vehicles and there is no comparison to them and other brands of tires. Michelin's will outlast three sets of any other tire. I also noticed that it increased my braking ability. Better road handling, better ride, no road noise , it was worth the extra $$ because Michelin far exceeds other tires.

Well to start off I actually ordered my tires from a Company that does not carry Michelin and Michelin are the only tires for me!!!!!! I had to try the Defender as I loved what was written about them and I read about them in the CR book. The tires give me the best smoothest ride and they stop with a lot of traction, without moving forward and rolling at all. They stop on a dime! Turning is fantastic just goes no hesitation and they are just GREAT!I have to say it is hard for me to comment on the life of the tire right now as I have only had them less than 6 mos.

HAVE OVER 6000 MILES ON TIRES THEY SEEM TO BE WEARING OK SO FAR. USED THEM IN SNOW AND RAIN GOOD THEIR BUT THEY MAKE LOT OF ROAD NOISE. WILL NOT BUY TWO MORE I ALL WAYS HAD GOOD LUCK WITH MICHELIN AND STILL THINK THEY ARE A GOOD COMPANY. THE DEFENDER IS JUST TO NOISY.fIRST I THOUGH IS WAS WHEEL BEARING OR DRIVE SHAFT BUT NO IT CAME BACK TO THE TIRES. THEY ARE NOT MORE PRICEY ER THEN MOST BRANDS BUT STILL A GOOD -NOISY TIRE. SO I WILL NOT FALL A SLEEP WITH THEM THAT'S FOR SURE.

As soon as my wife drove the car home with these tires on it, she said she felt a huge difference. Very smooth ride. And we have not had any problems with any of the other Michelin tires we've had before. We have not yet had the chance to test these in snow, but our other Michelins do very well. We'll find out in a couple of months how they do, but so far so good. No complaints here.

The tires grip the road extremely well. When we first got the tires we took a road trip, ended up driving through torrential rain in Jackson, MS., and crossed a section of the road that had puddled up with several inches of water. We navigated safely through at 55 mph while the driver in front of us immediately fishtailed and nearly lost control. Good Tires.

Excellent tire. I read several reviews prior to buying and the reviews were a mixed bag of too soft and too hard plus noisy. I honestly don't know what they are talking about. These are no noisy, harsh or too soft. I think people are not using the correct tire pressure. These tires grip well, they are quiet and smooth.

How can you make the best tire better? I have never really had a problem with a Michelin and when you do there is no problem, there service is second to none. Everytime I have put Michelin's on, its like driving a new car, they are the greatest and best tire I have ever purchased over the 40 years of driving on Michelin's. Dollar for dollar, there is no tire in my experience that comes close to a Michelin Tire quality or performance. If you never had Michelin tires, you will be amazed at the handling and ride.

Bought for our Honda crv. They are quiet, handle really well in all weather conditions, that we get in the midwest. Great looking tire too! We now have Michelins on 3 of our 4 cars. Excellant quality. You certainly get what you pay for. Have already recommended them to friends. Mp
