My last Michelin HydroEdge tires lasted well over 90K miles. In fact, they were so reliable that its smooth and quiet ride seemed secondary. When I was out looking to buy a new set of HydroEdge tires, I was told that they have been replaced by the Defender with the same 90K mile treadwear warranty, Without any hesitation, I bought them on the spot and so far I have been just as pleased after putting on 10K mies on the new Defender.

I've been a Michelin buyer for 10+ years. These tires are great for reducing road noise. I am skeptical of the unbelieveable treadwear warranty, but I fully expect these to be 60000 mile or more tires. Take the time to watch how the sipes are constructed and then go ahead and buy the tires. Oh yeah, my wife couldn't believe how much better the van drives with the new tires!

I had Pilot Exalto in all my cars before there were excellent tires, but I was looking for a good tire and I want to tried de Defender, I bought it last year and on ice ( I live in Northeast) was very good, after 12,000 miles the looks like new. I am happy with the tire because is make me feel safe on snow, rain and also in sunny day. Good all year around tire.

Defender tires provides good grip (Traction control) on roads, stability and balance on turns under all circumstances. The ride is smooth, subtle but secure and feel confidence while driving. As rubber meets road the Defender puts it defense. It gives comfort, peace of mind and great protection. I love my defenders and enjoy riding.

I had michelin tires on my 1999 Buick Century for 9 years. I had no problems or flats within that 9 years. Three weeks before Hurricaine Sandy devastated our lives, I decided to change my fantastic Michelin tires and bought 4 new Defenders for "Rosie"(our highly cherished 14 year old Century). Unfortunately, we lost "rosie" and her new beautiful Defenders to Hurricaine Sandy. We just replaced our irreplaceable "Rosie" with a new used car. In the near future, I am going to replace her(Mia) tires with a new set of Michelin tires!

Purchased this set of tires to replace earlier tires that are no longer manufactured. I am very pleased with the Michelin Defender product, they provide a very smooth and quiet ride. I would recommend these tires to anyone considering purchasing new tires.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the ride and lack of noise of my Defender tires. I live in the mountians and the worst time to drive is in the winter with snow. I have had great luck in the past with Michelin HydroEdge tires and was a bit upset when I heard that the HydroEdge tires were being discontinued, until I learned about the Defender tires replacing them. I only have about 500 miles on my Defender tires, but so far they are quite and handle just as good as the HydroEdge tires in the rain. My vehicle is a 2003 Oldsmobile Van.

Drive on country roads between corn fields and soybean fields, with deer always a threat. The performance of this tire for stopping and the sudden swirve to miss a deer is fantastic. Mostly have the road to myself so I can always use the hanging power of this tire on wet roads. Saved me more than once, really.

This is now my 3rd set of Michelin tires on my Pontiac Bonneville. With 217,000 miles on this vehicle and a goal of 300,000 miles I wanted Michelin tires. I have never had a performance issue with any Michelin tire and do not expect any with my new Defender tires. Plus the ride is really nice.
