I don't know if the issue I'm going to describe is particular to the Walmart version of this product or if this was a bad batch but I have been using the Charmin Ultra Soft MegaRolls for at least 5 years - this is the first time I purchased this product from Walmart and it is the first time I have had such low quality toilet paper from this particular brand and type. Yes the roll is the same size, yes it is soft but it has this weird quality where it sheds or leaves a toilet paper dust - and it seems to fall apart much easier than my earlier purchases of the same product from other vendors. I noticed the "dust" all around the floor near the roll holder. I can sometimes see it shedding as I take a piece off the roll. Very strange. The price was very good and like I said it was the same size but I really don't know for me if the savings is worth lower quality.

I used to buy only Charmin...I'm talking about years worth of purchases. However, recent quality changes have forced me to reconsider what brand I should purchase in the future. I understand that economic changes have most likely contributed to narrower rolls, but the shredded edges, difficulty of starting a role without sacrificing additional squares, and the addition of a floral pattern changing texture made the diminished quality too much to bear, no pun intended. P & G has been my go to company for everything from Tide to Dawn, to Bounty. I looked on this site months ago and saw all of the related complaints and thought, they will respond to this surely. However, it seems that these concerns have fallen on deaf ears, or since written were disregarded by turning a blind eye. So I've decided to share that I have sadly gone to a competitor, thus making my stand at the register. The new brand is not quite as absorbent, however all other factors would be considered superior in comparison. Sorry to have to leave you behind...

Recently Charmin's width is narrower. This is very bad because now I have to use almost twice the roll just to achieve the same clean when I "go." Have been using Charmin Ultrasoft for as long as I can remember, but I have to switch to a different company's roll now.

I just wanted you to know that the 12 double rolls of ultra soft came with 3 rolls that did not have cardboard holders. You may want to look at the batch with code 37000 86782. There is also another number 96524472 A. I hope this helps you to solve the problem with the machine.

I love the change in the new scalloped design to tear the sheets...... much easier to tear and makes a nice addition to the bathroom decor. This id the sole reason I took the time to write this review... congratulations to the person who came up with this idea !

I read a review on this page that said something negative about this product................well, I don't know what toilet paper they used but this Charmin Ultra Soft is so soft it is like velvet. I couldn't believe this was paper. I highly recommend this product and I am not easy to please. Of course, mega rolls are the best because they take up less space and you don't have to change the roll nearly as often, 4 rolls in 1. You will enjoy this paper the best our family has ever used.

by making toilet paper 0.5" narrow you spoiled the product all together. If you need to make more money just charge more not cut on quality. It's useless now. I use 2x as much just to compensate for lost 0.5" I will be switching to another brand. Whos idea was it anyway?

Writing an evaluation of toilet paper is not something I expected to be doing in life but since I am a retired PhD chemist I think I am up to giving an opinion concerning the quality of toilet paper. Believe it or not, I have been using toilet paper all my life and I've probably tried every brand and type there is. The Charmin quality is the best and of course it is still reasonably priced along with the other high-quality American brands not that I think we actually import toilet paper or that I am interested in recycled. This is for my personal use and I only choose the best. Of course the mega rolls don't have to be replaced as often which is a huge benefit itself.

Been using Charmin for half a century but I'm done due to the reduced width. I use only brands with the wider rolls (carry a roll core template with me) and haven't purchased Charmin for at least 6 months. Charmin will lose much more business unless they bring the wider roll back and apolagize.
