Easy Setup

I purchased this printer today and found it was easy to set up and get working over the network. The test prints appear to be fine. I would have went with the 3710 but I did not like the color. I will update this review as I utilize this printer. Downside - no fax capability.

Convenient and Innovative

Works as advertised and freedom from ink cartridges. Setup of the product went well and was able to use the product right away. This was my first wireless setup for a printer and that is working out well as we have three scattered computers. I am also pleased that Epson will recycle my older Epson printer, including covering the cost of getting the printer to them.

EcoTank Concept is Excellent

Only reason for missing star is the lack of full Linux support. Ink installation is extremely easy and non-messy. Default printing is more crisp than my old HP, but that may be how one saves on ink. The print to and print from the Cloud are interesting features that work fine even though I cannot see myself using them much. I have the machine cable-connected to my DSL base modem and computers connect using wifi.

poorly constructed

I just bought this printer. after months of deciding. the printer is loud and slow when printing. (I am used to a laser printer). What I find incredible is that the pair tray is very flimsy and the paper is constantly stuck. it is just a poor design.

Awesome, just a little funky to setup

Great unit, amazing value with print-to-ink. The unit has printed 450 pages and I'm only 1/2 way through the first bottle; two are given with the unit! Amazing. The setup is a little clunky and you should know your stuff to network it. Other than that, it's an amazing product.

Solid little printer

I've had this unit for about 5 weeks now. It works well, sets up fairly easily, and prints nicely. The scan feature was disappointing, though, for the reason that scanning is still as cumbersome as it was with my HP. Each scan requires user to find and activate scan from the computer and requires user to walk back and forth between computer and printer, instead of being able to set up and scan from the printer. I could not get the document feed to work with scan, and that was also a disappointment. I am hoping to save on ink, and time will tell.

Best Printer Ever

No more ink rip off from manufacture, and it is about time. Good photos, great print quality, speed is about other printers, quiet compact fits in small space. Loading is a snap, very easy and lasts for an amazing number of copies including color. Wow!

Great primary printer.

I have two printers; one is an old Brother black and white that I only use for speeches and large volume black and white print jobs. The Epson is my choice for color, scanning and ocassionaly I copy with it. It has been reliable, with exceptional quality with both. I have to get the Epson color photo paper so I can't rate it as excellent until I try it with that. I used some one year old "Cannon" photo paper and results were less than desirable; but I don't know if that old paper was proprietary just for "Cannon" copiers.

Great Printer

I bought this printer in May, 2018. It came with two sets of ink bottles. Two months later, I had to return it to Epson since it stopped working. They replaced it for free with a refurbished model. This refurbished model is still working great. The control window is an old one and can't be seen from the side, but other than that, everything generally works fine except for scanning. They included a complete set of ink bottles with the replacement, so I haven't purchasef any new ink yet. I use it for home printing, small business printing, and other uses. I do a lot of scanning and this is one of its not perfect functions. It only scans single sided when office scanners need to scan double sided. So I use a different printer for double sided scans. The scanning is somewhat light compared than the other scanner even though it is set to scan darker. Also, the rollers in the ADF catch on the paper to be scanned a LOT so I spend a lot of time unjamming the pages, re-entering the papers, reversing the scan, etc. But all in all, it prints well and quickly with a minimal amount of ink so it has saved me a huge amount of money over the past year even if there are some minor problems. It is relatively small in size for an office printer so fits well into the office.

Disappointing Print Quality

I bought this printer to save printing cost on multiple copies of a 125 page document. The printer is less than a month old and I am replacing it with a Laser Jet printer to get the quality that I need. I love the Eco Tank system. The ink is easy to install, mess free and is easy to see the status of the ink supply. Kudos to the design team. The things I do not like about the printer are print quality, printer menu interface and noise. On the lower and medium print settings the printer skips lines when printing creating a document that is not suitable for distribution. On the highest setting the printing speed is so slow that cost of time spent is not acceptable. The menu interface is difficult to work with, especially when changing between size and type of paper, or adding paper to the paper tray. The noise of the printer is annoying and distracting.
