Bought the AC for my medium sized room... I have a lot of electronics in my room so the temp can get up to 90 degrees at times... this little Frigidaire has helped immensely... most times I need only to leave it on low and it keeps my room a cool 68-70 degrees all time... thank yo very much!!!

It was a lifesaver then - cooling our entire living room/dining room/kitchen quickly and saving us from the sweltering temperatures outside. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great window unit at a great price if you have a small room that needs to be cooled. The few settings actually give you lots of temperature variability. My room faces a busy street and the sound of the AC masks traffic and is even soothing. I bought a more expensive model a few years ago that never seems to adequately cool down the apartment, but this little guy does the job and even sometimes I need to turn out down because the room gets too chilly! My only complaint is that the directions for installation were complicated and the window bracket provided was not compatible with my window which has a concrete and steel frame that couldn't be screwed into, even with a very powerful drill. These types of frames are common in NYC, so be sure to check your window and see if you'll be able to screw holes into it before purchasing a bracket. I ended up having to create my own system for supporting the back of the AC that could work with what I had.

Before it arrived the temperature in my apartment was getting into the high 80s and trying to sleep in that heat was unbearable. I use this unit just to cool my bedroom and it has made life bearable again. It cools the room down quickly, was easy to install, and while it's not the quietest unit it kind of acts as white noise to me and helps cover up the sound of the busy street I live on. Great product and a great price!

Doesn't have a lot of fancy bells and whistles but does have everything necessary to very efficiently and quietly cool a small room without badly denting the budget or taking a big toll on the electricity bill. Bought two of these for two bedrooms in the home and am very happy with the purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After my central AC unit died and was too costly to fix due to how old my house is, I decided to purchase two of these units for two of my bedrooms. These simple units work very well for rooms that are approx 150 sq ft and I am even able to cool a room across the hall from one of the bedrooms using a fairly powerful fan, which is nice because I cannot use a window unit in that room due to the outlet being to far from the window. The cord length is approximately 6' which is longer than many other units from other manufacturers. This unit is very easy to install using nothing more that a power drill to drill holes through metal window sills and a Phillips screwdriver. The unit is not Energy Star certified but it does not use a much energy. I am very happy with these units.

I had it for my livingroom but for some reason the coolness traveled to the other rooms and i loved it.
