It's meant for specific conditions, but perfect!

This is a swamp cooler, not an air conditioner. And even more than that, it's not meant to cool a large area like a room or outdoors. The bad reviews all seem to be from people that expect it to cool in humid or wide conditions, but that's not what it's designed for. I had a great time with this air cooler. I live in Arizona where things are really dry, so this was the perfect appliance for me. It's not quite a replacement for an air conditioner, but it's still excellent. I set it up with two windows open like I was told to do so and then used it to cool myself overnight. Worked like a charm!

Excellent

I was reluctant to buy any one of these, due to the bad reviews. Seems like the bad reviews come from those who expecting this to be more than a swamp cooler, or who live in the wrong climate. We live in the mountainous desert of Utah, where evaporative cooling is commonly used in place of central air. There's one bedroom in our home that isn't reached by the cooler, bought this for it. Very impressed with this little unit. Easy to fill, runs all night without having to refill it. Drain it once a week, clean the tank once a month. Pretty simple maintenance. Keeps the room nice and cool. My only complaint would be the length—or lack of—in the power cord. It's only about 4 feet long and has to be plugged directly into a socket, which makes it a little inconvenient. My advice would be to skip this if you're looking for refrigeration or live in humid areas. If you're used to evaporative cooling, and live in the desert, this is a perfect little device. Our big evaporative cooler needed maintenance and we used this for a few days to get us through. We were confined to one room, but it kept the temp bearable. Good to have on hand for emergencies.

Damaged product!

The box was pushed in on one side. The lady said we can return it if there are problems with it. The cooler has not worked properly so it will be returned.

Cold portable swamp cooler

Very good portable swamp cooler my air conditioner stopped working and the company that I am purchasing from lent it to us , it is also a humidifier you have to change the settings for that option, blows very cold worth it .
