Very unhappy with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this player to hook up to the internet using an older TV. It kept freezing up. I would need to unplug it and then restart it to stream Netflix. Now It comes up with an error message and will not stream at all. I then tried to play a DVD in it and the remote will not work.

Can't use the words I want to...

I have been having trouble with this player since the day I got it. After exchanging 3 times to get this one for other product failures, this one crashes just about every single time I try to use it. On Netflix, watching a blu ray or dvd. sometimes even just turning it on causes it to crash. I am so frustrated, and I will NEVER buy an LG product again.

Great little bundle of non-expensive joy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had my Blu-ray/dvd wifi ready player for a day so it's all still new to me. But, with the short time I've had it I've grown to really enjoy the features and great picture quality of it. I'm having a little trouble with the lag in the the remote. What I mean by this is the short delay once you've pushed a button to the time it takes the set-top box to receive it. No big problem though. All in all I am very proud of my new LG product and thank you guys and gals for making a wonderful blu-ray player.

Internet and apps do not work well

I bought this to use with a television that does not have internet capabilities so I could see streaming content. . I had a ten year old player that did the same thing and thought I would replace it. Newer has to be better right? Wrong. The LG would freeze while watching Subscription streaming apps. The controls for all aspects of the device were extremely slow and when it froze I would have to unplug it and restart to get it working again. So bad that I plugged the 10 year player back in and and it works great. I will be returning the LG to the store.

Misinforming

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just bought this for my father, so he could use it to stream certain apps. Figured I'd be able to download said app. All preinstalled and no choice to have other apps. Now I'm out the 60 -70$ I spent. I'm sure it works good for DVDs and blu Ray's. Disappointed

Easy Set up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very compact, easy to connect to TV. You need an HDMI cable (not included.) Compact in size, case is plastic not metal, weighs under 2 lbs. Excellent product so far. Gave it 4 stars for plastic.

Misleading

I was given this gift and I was very excited. So far the YouTube feature and watching DVDs Works wonderfully. The netflix however is awful. It buffers constantly I can't get even a minute of uninterrupted show. Where as on my other device (Wii) Netflix plays with zero faulty. As I type this my screen has frozen all together.

Useless junk

This is the 3rd one we have tried. Freezes every 5 mins. I finally just got Netflix set up just in time for it to freeze. Remote won't power off, even downloaded the phone remote app and it does nothing to help. Supposed to be able to access Hulu but can't. It is not even worth a paper weight or door stop. Everyone we tried does the same thing. Negative stars.

Not recommended for streaming

Hands down worst electronic purchase ever! Freezes constantly, "forgets" internet password every time I have turned it on, and streams horribly (it's NOT my internet, all other devices and old device that this was replacing still work fine in same space). Also, the description says HULU is a streaming option...nope! Will be getting my $ back on this.

Premium Channels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two of these blu-ray players, with wi-fi capability to use premium channels. I thought it was just one because it was older, however the new one is doing the same thing. They will stop loading the premium channel images and info. you have to go back, then select the item again then it may display. I have tried powering it off on, even unplugging power completely. But they both new and old blu-rays still do the same thing. Not locking up, just not fully loading menus and images. Like a possible not enough memory. I don't think I will take a chance on buying another LG Blu-ray Player. Two (2) of my LG TV's have premium channels, though one has no HULU. They do not hesitate to load images, also tested with the external Blue-ray players. The problem follows the Blue-ray players. I use the players on an LG TV without wi-fi and premium channels, the problem happens. On the LG TV without HULU but the other premium channels, same issue.
