Great gift for kid who likes to build things and tear them apart

I got this for my granddaughter and she is thrilled with it. She is 5, but loves putting things together. Very happy with the quality.

5 year old loved it

I purchased for my 6 year old grandson for Christmas, and we had a blast with it! It is challenging as it teaches patience and attention to details. It is a toy that is great for little minds and old folks as well. We were best buddies working together for a couple of hours, and then the reward of watching our hard work in action was very satisfying and made us proud!

We got this for Christmas for our 6 year old. It was too challenging for him to do by himself, but it was a fun project to work on together. Both sets work great. They are fun, cute and very sturdy.

The marble maze has open gears where little fingers could possibly get stuck. Also my 4 year old put a penny in the gears which I was afraid might break it

Too complicated for 3-4 year olds.

Purchased this today and started putting it together with an adult and 11 year old. The picture instructions are not clear enough for any kind of success. After assembling and disassembling several times, the 11 year old quit, and 2 adults continued. After 2 1/2 hours we thought we might have succeeded but there were parts left over. When we put the batteries in, it did not work. After looking closely at the pictures we say just the edge of a 'cog' that was never mentioned in the instructions. Please don't buy this for your child thinking that it will encourage the child to love science.
