I've usually had good experiences with Ragu, But most recently opened a jar of Ragu traditional old world style and came across what appeared to be fish skin in my sauce. It was very unappealing and distasteful to see (see pic). Not what I was expecting and would really encourage higher quality controls when sealing a product for consumer consumption.

This sauce reminds me of my childhood. Ragu Traditional was always my mother's go to, I am happy to say the taste is still the same and brings back pleasant memories. It's not a thick sauce and it's perfect to incorporate into recipes. The taste is good but not overpowering which makes this such a versatile product.

I'm very disappointed in the "new and improved" sauce recipe. I buy Ragu because it's the only red sauce my kid will eat (and it's what I ate as a kid). Now that it tastes like Classico and Prego, she won't eat any red sauces. Please bring back the original!!!!

Ragu was a Staple in my house growing up. We had it once a week with ziti or spaghetti and even called the meal "Ragu". There was only one sauce that tasted better and that was my Mom's home made red sauce that she slow simmered all day on the stove and we all stirred as we walked by. Family and friends would come any Sunday she announced she was having it and they all said the same "it was the best they've ever tased" my Mother only taught one person that recipe. It may be because I was the only one up that early one Sunday but nonetheless, she told me the first step was the secret to good sauce and it was where everyone screws it up. She told me "you have to start with lots of good olive oil" most people use sugar to sweeten the sauce and cut the acidity. Just recently I remarked that the Ragu tasted different but it was better. It reminded of my Mom's sauce for some reason. My wife tried to say I was making it up because I happen to have cooked it for the first time in a while instead of her. I grabbed the empty jar and saw the "now with olive oil" label. It takes Bal@$ to change a great traditional product like this!! Great Move Ragu! And I'm someone that hates change. Thanks for making a great product even better.

Have used the Traditional sauce my entire life but now I'm going to have to find something else. The "improved" version with olive oil tastes mostly of garlic and has a weird, almost burned flavor. Way too much garlic and not enough good flavor. Not sure we can even finish eating what I'd made with it tonight. Very disappointing. This was a waste of money.

The new recipe says now made with olive oil. The old recipe had olive oil too. The new recipe added garlic and removed the cheese. THE NEW RECIPE IS AWFUL. Why would you change the recipe for a traditional flavor sauce. The added garlic is overpowering. I can't have garlic.

Disappointed I can no longer find the Ragu Old World Style Traditional Sauce, just "Now with Olive Oil". The new sauce ruined my spaghetti dinner and had an awful taste. With the rise of food prices, I did not want to waste it and throw it away, so I devoured my plate. Which I now wholeheartedly regret as I feel sick to my stomach while writing this. I will not longer be buying your product and will switch to Prego. And I do have to wonder, what it was made with before, now it's made with olive oil?

My mom used this sauce with eggplant when we were growing up and nothing else can match it. Ragu is super underrated, but for certain dishes, it just works. Try my mom's eggplant recipe: Peel and slice eggplant in 1inch thick wheels, pan sear with some oil. Once soft, transfer to a deep dish baking pan. Add original ragu sauce, chopped onions, and chopped green bell peppers. For added spice, add some chili and paprika powder. Top with mozzarella cheese, bake at 450 for about 25min with foil covering the pan. Uncover, stir everything together, and in the oven for another 5min. Serve on rolls! Only reason I would take a star away is its not he healthiest of sauces (sugar and preservatives)

Ragu is a staple brand. The old world traditional sauce with olive oil held up to the Ragu standards. The pasta sauce is full of flavor. It has a good amount of richness in the tomato flavor. My one complaint is that the pasta sauce is very runny/liquidy. Are used the Ragu old world style traditional with olive oil pasta sauce in my lasagna. My family really enjoyed the recipe. I would recommend this product!

Okay Ragu, have you finally realized most people do not like the new traditional sauce with olive oil? More people rate it as 1 star and I'm one of them. I really miss the old recipe and have not cooked pasta since you made the change. PLEASE bring back the old recipe that so many of your customers miss!
