[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ragú for One Old World Style Traditional Sauce is perfect if you are only cooking for one. It is also good as a dipping sauce. The package is to open, and not much waste. I would recommend it to family and friends.

I haven't had Ragu for several years and bought some last week. First thing I noticed is it seemed a bit off compared to how I remembered it in the past. I bought a 2nd bottle a week later and noticed the same thing with it. Today while talking on the phone to my brother he asked me out of the blue if I thought Ragu changed their recipe. I said yes, but couldn't pin point just how. Well he did. Ragu used to have a bit of sugar in it and this new recipe does not and therefore it's more tart. Tomato sauce products (even pizza sauce) always taste better when a little bit of sugar is added to take out the tartness. IDK why Ragu decided to go with a more tart flavor now, but it's not an improvement. Maybe they saved $.01 per bottle removing sugar. Also this new recipe is more watery. You will literally have water in your spaghetti sauce as you're eating it. So this is not "new and improved" by any means.

Disappointed I can no longer find the Ragu Old World Style Traditional Sauce, just "Now with Olive Oil". The new sauce ruined my spaghetti dinner and had an awful taste. With the rise of food prices, I did not want to waste it and throw it away, so I devoured my plate. Which I now wholeheartedly regret as I feel sick to my stomach while writing this. I will not longer be buying your product and will switch to Prego. And I do have to wonder, what it was made with before, now it's made with olive oil?

Ragu Old World Style Traditional Sauce is great for any pasta dish. I chopped a few squash to add into the sauce so I could sneak veggies into the dish for my kids. The only thing I had to do was add a bit more salt because it was a bit bland. But my kids loved it with their noodles and ate it up. Great for quick meals or ad add on to a dish.

I browned ground turkey and simmered it in the Ragu Sauce. Then I poured it over elbow pasta shells. It was very good! I noticed that the ingredients have changed slightly and there is no cheese in it. I hope they keep this version of Ragu Sauce!

What a disappointment! This was a staple in our household and has always been a great tasting basic spaghetti sauce. Unfortunately you've changed it and now it's horrible. I didn't realize it had changed until I tasted it. I thought I had an expired jar! Sour, bitter, with a little bit of sweetness is how I'd describe the flavor. It left a terrible aftertaste in my mouth.

So I prefer to use Ragu sauces when making a pasta dish. This sauce, however, is not one that I'm a fan of. It did not taste bad, it's just that I enjoy more substance to my sauce. Give me big chunks of tomato. Give me slices of mushrooms. I need the vegetables. I feel like if I had children, they would enjoy this "plainer" type of sauce.

As soon as I made spaghetti without realizing it changed to olive oil.. tasted it and it tasted horrible!! It definitely isn't the same and won't buy it again.. sad we got it add BJs and now have a couple bottles of it.. it needs to go back to the original or we won't buy ragu anymore!!!

Ragu has always be my favorite sauce for well over 30 years. The changes they made are umfortunately not for the better, its now completely awful and i will not buy it again. Ragu why change a good thing im known for my italian dishes using your sauce. What a shame.

I am a 43 year old Autistic woman. Regular Ragu Old World Traditional has always been my go to sauce. I don't add anything. Just sauce and noodles. The last time I fixed myself some spaghetti, it tasted different (not in a good way) and the texture of the sauce was greasy. I looked at the jar and it said “now with olive oil”. I thought maybe it was just a new option, but no. It's a replacement and I am devastated. My old sauce has been there for me my whole life. When no other food sounds good, I could always count on Ragu Traditional sauce and some pasta. You guys took it away. Not everything needs to be new and improved! If it ain't broke, don't fix it! If you want to make this with olive oil, then be my guest, but give me my old sauce back! I did notice a slight change in the flavor and thickness several years ago (when you started touting that it had a half serving of vegetables in each cup or something), but it was easily doctored with a little extra water added and a dash of salt. Not exactly like the product I've always loved, but close enough that I did not complain. You think people won't notice when you change things, but we do. This newest version is a deal breaker for me. I'm devastated. I know that sounds dramatic, but this is very important to me. Please bring the old recipe back as an option!!
