[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't usually buy this product because it is quite pricey. That all ends now!! This is some of the best ice cream I've ever had!! I really don't mind paying more for a superior product. Did I mention so many choices? Yes indeed!!

We bought a pint of what had always, for us, been the best vanilla ice cream available in the supermarket, to go with our lovingly made Christmas cake. Imagine my disappointment at the icy, almost ice milk, concoction melting into white water on my cake plate. I was embarrassed we had served this to our guests. Tellingly, although everyone asked for a second piece of cake, no one asked for another scoop of “ice cream.” Imagine that. No one wanted more Hagen Daz. The Hagen Daz of our youth is over. First it was shrinking the “pint”package to 14 oz, making it impossible to use in our beloved ice cream cake recipe that calls for two pints of sorbet and one of vanilla ice cream (or to use for portioning quarter cup servings on Weight Watchers). Now even the weirdly sized package contains something I would never eat again. Better for our health, buut disappointing for special occasions. Way to go, Hagen Daz.

Well, most companies have a boring vanilla, but Haagen-Dazs has perfected vanilla, the strong vanilla bean flavor is unmatched.

I noticed new Haagen Dazs Vanilla Ice Cream packaging in the store and immediately wondered if that also meant a new product inside. It certainly does mean a new, lesser quality product! The flavor and texture have changed. Bring back the old, rich creamy ice cream I loved. You have lost a devoted customer of 20 plus years!!!

The ice cream was so creamy and delicious. The best vanilla ice cream out there. You deserve to treat yourself and this is the perfect treat. We loved it!

This was what I expected. having the ice cream on its own or combined with another dessert, like on top of warm apple pie, or warm brownies is wonderful. What is difficult is not to have a second portion!
