Give my dogs about a tablespoon a day as a treat! They absolutely love it and there is no harm to their stomachs. I love it too and the rice at Sam's compared to the grocery store is amazing! Thank you Sam's!!!

i basically have this ice cream once a week and the vanilla flavor just tastes so creamy and rich , and it's really the best ice cream ever

Ridiculously overpriced even for premium ice cream. Only purchased for special occasions.

I had some Haagen Dazs vanilla a few weeks ago and thought, "huh, I'm not enjoying this like I normally do," but just figured it was a me thing. As I was eating some again this evening, I noticed the flavor description says, "we have a new and improved recipe for more of that creamy vanilla goodness you love," and realized that it is unfortunately not a me thing, and it is not improved. If you actually improve your product, then A) it tastes better, and B) you don't announce it in fine print on the back of your carton, and this update meets neither criteria. If this were some rando brand I wouldn't care as much, but Haagen Dazs is the last widely available brand that has kept up the quality of its ice cream over the years, long after formerly great brands (I'm looking at you, Ben and Jerry's and you, Breyer's) reformulated their product lines into the same sort of stabilized swill purveyed by everyone else. So it is very disheartening to see HD change the recipe to their flagship flavor for the worse, in what I assume is an attempt to cut cost. And to be clear, it's not bad. Is still take it over a Dreyer's or Tillamook vanilla. But in context of what the commercial ice cream landscape is like and HD's place in that context, the downward movement is a real heart-breaker for me. I'm crossing my fingers that this is not the the first sign that HD's quality inn general is circling the drain, but after watching so many brands "improve" themselves into inedibility over the years, I'm not hopeful.

The ONLY ice cream I have purchased in over 30 years has been Häagen-Dazs vanilla. And I buy a lot of ice cream. I could always depend on Haagen-Dazs to be consistently wonderful. Why would I want anything else? Well, unfortunately that has changed. I've noticed a difference in flavor for awhile, but recently it's become almost inedible. When the new packaging came out, I noticed the mention of a “new & improved recipe.” Seriously? By whose standards? Certainly not those of us who have loved Haagen-Dazs and eaten it almost daily for years. The “new & improved recipe” is such a disappointment that I feel like I've lost an old friend. Unfortunately, the pint I currently have in my freezer is the last, as I will never buy it again.

My wife and I decided to try your product again. We remember what a joy it was to eat your product. No more! It is icy, thin, watery, and tasteless. I will never buy your product again. Your old product is a fond memory, like the time when tomatoes had taste.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to really love Haagen-Dazs ice cream it was always a rich, luxurious treat. After having kids & helping plan events/parties in my apartment complex I started by lesser quality brands to save on cost. I was super excited to get this ice cream for myself. As soon as I got home from the store, I scooped a few small scoops (mini scooper) into a bowl to dig in. The first bite was fine nothing special like it was in the past. Went in for another big bite & it was flavorless. The texture was kind of grainy & honestly, it was just gross & weird like frozen, watered down milk. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe or what but this Haagen-Dazs experience was very disappointing.

It used to be dense and smooth, now it's full of ice chunks. The Häagen-Dazs name will only carry y'all so far, eventually people will realize the quality is about the same as a bad store brand.

Wasn't impressed with it. I've had vanilla in the past and it was real creamy and dense. This one was light and not creamy. Seems to me they added more skim milk than cream. Probably won't get again.
