Sam's stopped carrying this for a few weeks, thank goodness it is back -- the best you can buy. No mess, no storage until opened. There is NO substitute for Hormel fully cooked on the market -- we have tried them all. thank you Hormel. Thank you Sam's Club

This used to be a great product that I bought weekly and used daily. Now it's practically paper thin and no longer worth the cost at all! Won't be buying this anymore... At least that other price club store has the sense to get the "thick cut" version which is really just the old version of normal slices while this one was downgraded to see through tissue paper bacon! Boo!

I really only wanted to give this four stars, based on the thickness -- or lack thereof. Even though it's thin, the flavor is not. Using only two slices, broken in half and arranged as a single layer on a BLT, it was very satisfying. That's something that some cooked-from-scratch bacon can't pull off. With 72 slices in the bag, I considered freezing part of the bag, but having a nicely flavored precooked bacon on hand made bacon-containing meals so much easier that I ended up using all of it well before the expiration date. Really, I haven't tried a precooked bacon that is NOT thin. (It's how the manufacturer keeps the cost down; after all, think of the expense involved in cooking and packing the bacon in layout fashion -- and the waste (broken/crumbled pieces) involved.) So, while there *are* better bacons that you'll have to cook from scratch, this is the best precooked variety that *I* have tried. Taking that into consideration, I had to give it 5 stars.

Reluctantly tried and boy were we impressed. Great taste and it only takes about 10 seconds per piece on a paper towel in the microwave. This pkg equates to about $2 dollars and some change per LB of bacon. The bacon is thinly sliced, but the hassle of cooking on the stove and the grease disposal- this is all we eat now! Have recommended to others and everyone's really happy with the product.

If you're a bacon lover like I am and time is an issue, this is your product. It is ready to throw on any foods you like or eat with your eggs when you don't have the extra time or don't want the greasy mess to clean up afterward. 2 pieces in micro for 20 sec. and you're enjoying! 2 pieces is just enough to enjoy and won't make you think you are clogging your arteries.

length, width and thickness is shrinking in fact it is vanishing. The package is the same size but slowly over time it is vanishing. The price is $16.40 per pound. I'm going to start eating lobster with my eggs. Yes it does taste good but it is as if you are eating air.
