Wonderful value; outstanding picture

This TV is a very good value, and the picture is outstanding for the price. I like the design a lot, and it worked seamlessly out of the box with the AppleTV and the wireless here in the house. Setup was a breeze. I gather from research that presenting the color black faithfully is very difficult for TVs, and this TV has a mid-range number of zones to accomplish this; what it has works very well, and I'm not sure I'd notice any improvement were I to have a TV with more such zones. I like the picture a lot. Arrived in good shape, likely owing to the well-considered packaging. Although it makes it more handsome once it's on the wall, there's not much bezel on this TV; so, watch where you're putting your fingers when you lift it. Follow the instructions on the box flap -- big help. I mounted it to the wall in my den with a mounting kit I ordered separately. It looks great! The jacks on the back for power, HDMI, and such are all well thought out -- they don't jut directly out toward the wall but run parallel to the wall. This allows for closer mounting to the wall. If you plan to mount it to the wall, I highly recommend getting a mounting kit with a joint that allows you to pivot the top of the screen forward a bit. My kit only allows up to 8 degrees, but it makes a world of difference squelching glares and to get the full experience while reclined in the LaZBoy. I've been buying Samsung TVs for years. This is my first VIZIO. I'm very impressed so far, and I'm very happy I didn't have to pay thousands of dollars to get the picture quality this TV offers.

Some features don't work in Canada

We have had this Smart TV for quite a while now and haven't really been able to take full advantage of the Smart features nor will it connect to our Amazon Echo Dot . We did not purchase a Sound Bar as we already had a decent audio system with our old LG TV and unfortunately that system has proven to be incompatible so we are unable to use it. The built in speakers are only ok not exactly the greatest sound quality!

Wonderful quality! But..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the quality of the tv and all of its features. There are 2 slight issues with it though. It will randomly turn off (no sleep timer set, it just turns off randomly a couple times every hour). It also tends to say it's not connected to the internet even though it says it is in the settings

Great TV but...

Really love the TV, features and quality of the picture. However, I am having a problem with it turning on randomly in the night and none of the customer service tips online seem to be working. Plan to call the company soon to see if anything can be done.

Nice TV

This is a great tv and glad I chose this as my 1st 65" tv. I also purchased the Vizio Home Theater sound system to go with it and that's icing on the cake. The only thing I dislike is the fact that the Vizio app has proven to be fruitless and a waste of time. Please fix this. Thanks for the great product otherwise.

One the best budget tv out there

I love this tv. Picture quality is really great. After doing lots of research I came to decision this tv was right for me at the right price. Doesn't brake your bank but it gives you excellent picture quality. Only thing I wish it was little better on the smart cast platform. Sometimes it quite slow to respond.

TV has performed much better than expected!

When I first received the tv and turned it on I was concerned because I could see the grid pattern of LEDs on just about any background the screen had on it but it was not even tolerable with white. I decided to install it up on the wall before making my final decision and I am glad I did. Since it was leaning slightly backwards in order to not tip over, it must have been pushing slightly to make the pattern visible. Now the screen looks perfect. Colors are as they should be. Vivid even when backlight is low. Whites are pure white with no dirty screen effect and blacks are full deep black. There are a million picture quality settings available too so you can adjust every aspect of the picture even down to gamma and specific color intensities. The TV also includes a variety of user available test patterns to calibrate it to very accurate levels. I was even surprised at the performance of the built in apps as well as the ease to cast from almost any device perfectly onto the screen. There was also no apparent sluggishness or lag using any apps or selecting them as some reviews I had read did mention. The menus/settings were easy to navigate. Nothing confusing or items in a tab they dont belong. Love that everything can be set from my phone too. The only complaint is the audio has absolutely no settings other than balance and surround on/off. Even the most basic cheap tv's have some sort of audio EQ. Granted anyone with a tv this size should be using an amp and home theater system which usually i also use. With all that said, the on-board sound quality was not nearly as bad as some particularly picky reviewers had mentioned in some I had read. Its not a concert hall in a box but its far from bad. Also, people are paranoid about smart TV's spying on you... This TV Explicitly breaks down any data collection it could do. Gives you the option to opt out and explains what feature benefits you will lose, if any by opting out. Its not rediculously long and complicated notices either. But it CLEARLY states what it needs at each moment while setting up... Microsoft, Google and facebook are not remotely as up front about their data collection. One last thing... to anyone thinking any size TV will be too big.. it wont. If you have enough wall space, go as big as possible. My 65" looks like 32" when put up on a wall. (Not the tv's fault)

Great but some exceptions

Bought M model based on satisfaction with older model. This one's Smartcast doesn't load all the time and is quite slow. Picture turns off by itself sometimes randomly. Had to check forum to find out the secret for turning on (hold mute button then press back button). Plus tv channels don't show signal strength like other brands. Other than those issues picture and sound equal to other brands in same category.

The color is just as advertised!

We bought this tv about a month ago and love it! The only issue we've had with it is that when watching something, the fast motion of objects was a bit pixelated at first. But after adjusting some settings it was mostly resolved! Overall I would highly recommend this tv to anyone looking for high quality for a reasonable price!!

Vizio's WERE great, once upon a time.

I bought this for my husband a little under a year ago. It started getting dark patches across the picture which make in impossible to see the tv with any lights on at all and if you are watching a movie which has dark scenes, forget it! When we enquired about having it repaired, we learned Vizio uses LED lighting in these that is so hard to replace it's not worth the trouble. There were quite a few people who had also run into this problem and like them, despite the 4 other Vizio currently in use in our home, this will be our last! Cutting corners is really low, but then forcing your customers to cover the costs that come up as a result of your petty penny pinching, is quite a new level of skanky, in my opinion. They won't ever get another penny out of us! It's been real Vizio. You worked real hard to build your name, too bad you forgot why.
