- 3 out of 5 stars review12/8/2023This bacon is very convenient to prepare. No need to turn on the stove and risk the hot oils popping on your skin. However, the convenience comes at a price. The bacon is definitely not as good as stove top bacon. It is a tradeoff between convenience and taste.

The bacon was excellent and crispy. My family absolutely loved it! I would highly recommend this product and we will be buying it again!

You stick it on a plate with a paper towel and nuke it. Well, I was surprised because it came with 4 packages of 4 slices of bacon each. The slices were a nice size and looked pretty good. Reading the easy instructions, I grabbed one of the packs and tossed it in the microwave for 2 minutes. You don't have to poke a hole or anything. Great! I took it out and made a BLT with the first package. The 4 slices did get smaller, but they were a perfect size for the sandwich. I cooked 2 slices of bacon in the microwave per the directions and it was still raw, I then cooked it double the time and it was still raw. I took it out and fried it in a pan like any other bacon. It was delicious! It wasn't as salty as regular bacon. Which I loved because I'm on a low salt diet. I would recommend this to friends and family but not in the microwave, just fry like regular bacon. I would get this again!

It was quick, cooked exactly as directed at 2 minutes 30 seconds. Cleanup up consisted of just throwing the wrapper away. Flavor was great. The 4 slice packs are perfect for making a quick sandwich or toping for a dish or salad. Very convenient! Unfortunately, it is not ideal for breakfast when cooking for a whole family and the price is out of my budget for a regular shopping trip. I would purchase it in the future if it were on sale or if I had a special meal in mind

Heat in sleeve it comes in for 2.5 minutes and its done. They came out crispier than I thought they would be. It was very easy to dispose of as well. Price is higher than I thought but will buy occasionally in the future.

However it surprised me. It was delicious and crispy and not too greasy. The best part is none of the grease splatter burns I get when I normally cook bacon. There was no clean-up since the packaging absorbed the grease, and it cut my cooking time. The taste is what I expected. It was nothing spectacular, just regular bacon. My family enjoyed it as they always do whenever they have bacon. I will purchase again, especially for vacation, so that I can focus on family time and not cooking

Happy - 3 out of 5 stars review12/9/2023Hormel sent me a free sample through the BzzAgent sampling program. I really like this bacon better then the ready to bacon. It taste better then the already cooked ready to eat bacon also. Unless you like it super crispy only cook it about 2 minutes. I definitely recommend this product and I will continue to buy it. Thank you again Hormel, had I not got this for free to sample I might not have tried it. I am glad Sam's has it in the larger package.

Gaynell R - 5 out of 5 stars review12/13/2023(Hormel gave me this bacon for free so that I could review it.) Finally, real bacon that's convenient and easy to cook! From time to time I've tried pre-cooked bacon. Maybe it's preservatives, or maybe it's guilt that I didn't put any effort in to preparing it, but it always tasted different. Not so with this bacon. It tastes very much like real bacon that I'd cook on a weekend - but in just 3 minutes. Just put it in the microwave with the absorbent pad down, and microwave it until it looks done to you. In my case that's three minutes. I've tried it twice now, and this is as close as you'll get to pan fried or oven cooked (my favorite method) bacon as you'll get in a few minutes.

It does make a mess although the package says that it doesn’t but it is something that can be cleaned right up. The taste is a little too salty for me & it’s not crispy as I like my bacon but it is still edible.
I’ll just stick to my stove or oven

I thought that this would be perfect for the bacon lovers that we are. The product was very easy to use. Just open the box, grab a pack of bacon ( 4 strips to a pack) and pop it in the microwave. No mess. Yummy tasting bacon. And, the price isn't bad either. Especially when you compare it to the bacon that is messier when cooking it. And, when you compare the clean up, this bacon you just toss the bag in the trash. Other bacon, drain the grease and wash the pan. To me, the only downside is that there are only 4 strips per microwavable bag. So, for a family you would have to make several bags. So, it would probably be better to cook bacon the traditional way. That's the only proble...

Slap it in the micro and in a couple of minutes you are good to go. I will say that one of the packages kind of exploded and I ended up with a bacon ball instead of 4 tidy strips but hey, bacon is bacon.

At first, I thought it was going to be crunchy because it's heated in the microwave, but after we heated it, it was nice and crunchy and had a great taste to it. I'm definitely buying it on my next trip to sams.

Only issue I had was I had to cook it a little longer than the directions to have the bacon be crispy which popped the bag so the microwave got a little dirty. But I but Paper towels under the bag the next time and it soaked up most of the mess.

I am a crispy bacon kind of person so the bacon was surprisingly up to my crispiness standards. I liked that it was packaged in portion sized packets so you didn't have to make the whole pack at once if you were just by yourself. For convenience alone, it's worth the 4 stars.

The individual wrapping made it really really easy to throw away however I'm a little hesitant to buy again because I fell weird about microwaving that type of plastic it comes in. Their other style is not wrapped in plastic and I would go with that instead.

There were 3 pks in the box, both containing 4 pieces each. The first package I cooked according to the directions on the box (which was 2-3 mins). Our microwave cooks a little hotter so I tried the 2 mins and it overcooked 2 pieces and other 2 were flimsy. I ate them anyhow on a sandwich and thought I'll adjust the time and to the next pack. The 2nd pack I lowered the temp and used the same time, but they were all flimsy so put them back in the extra min for a total of 3. I walked away and when it went off for finish they were so crispy they just crumbled in pieces and dust. The 3rd pack was pretty much the same. It wasn't horrible just adju...
