I grew up on a different "buttery spread" (in the brown tub) but switched to real butter as I got older. Compared to the other brand, I think this one has a much more buttery taste. I keep this around for the convenience when I need a "spreadable" butter and don't have the time or patience to soften real butter.

I’m a lover of a simple bread and butter snack but the different butter alternatives I’ve tried have usually had an unpleasant flavor or mouthfeel. After one bite, I knew this spread was different. The flavor is closer to butter or buttery popcorn flavors. It’s not too salty or sweet and it’s easily spreadable even while cold. No need to leave it out on the counter to warm up!! It’s packaged nicely and is very affordable - way cheaper than butter and no dealing with sticks that need a separate tray. I have paired it with some flaky finishing salt, or with some fine salami and it’s quite good. I also enjoy it melted over popcorn.

I love this product because it tastes like butter but it’s not butter. I used it for breakfast on my bread as a spread. I don’t feel guilty because I know it has lower fats and is cholesterol free, gluten free as well.
