I bought 2 of these and installed them less than a year ago (don't remember exact date, but it was this year (2016)). One I rarely use, and is still working great (bright lighting, etc.), the other started flickering intermittently about 2 months ago, and now it is dead. I estimate that it lasted about 1200 hours, no where near the life I expected.

I purchased seventeen these after testing one sixteen feet up in my 40x60 shop. I loved the bright white light and the amount that was produced, but wasn't happy with the thought that it had to be put up with hooks and chains. I decided to remove the plastic end on my test light to see what kind of wiring may be running through the center channel. To my surprise it was clear, no wiring or any other kind of obstruction. Long story short, I'll be drilling two 3/16 holes through the center channel and screwing them snuggle up to the ceiling! I noticed others had remarked about this problem and I hope this helps. I would have given 5 stars if this would have been an option, just hope it doesn't void the warranty on the product. Other than that I love the lights and the price!!!

Wanting to replace my old shop lights because the old "tube bulbs" were always burning out, or flickering and in general, just not a very pleasant working atmosphere.....I was on the "lookout" for these new "LED shop lights but on initial investigation, found them to be to expensive, and so....just put the project on hold....Then online one morning I checked and found them at Sam's club and, at a more than reasonable price....I ordered ( 2), and in a week they were delivered....Now...the "acid test" I was honestly surprised to see how well constructed they were. light in weight, and in 5 minutes were ready to hang.....When plugged in, the illumination was twice or even more than one my old shop lights and 100% better than I expected. I went to Sams in Maine, and purchased 8 more and now my entire shop area...looks fantastic and without a single corner that is not bathed in bright light !!!!! Now on top of all that...they will last more than 5,000 hours left on continually 24/7.....Mine will be on only hours a day so the cost ( now pennies a day for all of them ) will be quite noticeable......Thumbs up on this item !!! More than worth it !!!!!!! You won't be disappointed !

I was considering adding a fluorescent light fixture to my shop so I could have better lighting. I saw this at Sam's Club and thought I would give it a try. It doesn't need to be hard-wired. It hangs from the supplied hooks and has a power cord with a pull chain. The light is instantly bright, which is a plus. I was up and running in 5 minutes. I haven't noticed any buzzing sound as another reviewer mentioned. I am very pleased so far. It's also made in the USA, which is a bonus. The lights don't give off any heat, which is also good.

I ordered the lights online from Sam's and delivery was very fast. I installed the lights in my barn and I now have excellent lighting. Very white light and great for working with small parts and seeing colors correctly. I am very pleased with the quality and brightness. I hard wired them to the electrical system but had to install a receptacle at each light which I didn't think I would like but, I can turn on only what I need at the time and save even more electricity. Very please with these lights and they are made in the USA.

They are easy to install and have a plug. These replaced very old hard wired ones. They are very bright. Much easier to work in my pole barn.

Put 2 light fixtures in my 2-car garage. Amazed at how well they lit up the garage! Is like night and day compared to the old neon bulbs.

After electrical surge took out my Flouresant lights , I bought these as a upgrade. I had them a couple months and they work great so far.

I had previously purchased eight of these lights for my garage. I liked them so much that I bought six more for my sons house.

I like the brightness compare to my old florescent lights, and when the cold temps come I hope the brightness is still there.
