Hung these lights in my garage and they light up the garage like it was daylight! If they last as long as LEDs are supposed to and work through Winter temperatures in PA they will be a great bargain.

I bought three and replaced three fixtures in our basement which has always been on the dark side. They were simple to install and our basement is now one of the brightest areas of our home. I highly recommend them.

I bought 4 of these several weeks ago and put them up in my barn at the hunting camp. I am very impressed with how bright these lights are. These came with chain and S hooks to hang them with. I was so pleased with them that I bought 4 more to put in my shop at home. When I got home to install them there were plastic strips to hang them with. I checked the box and it states that the chain and S hooks are included. I would have given them 5 stars except for the cheap plastic strips. I ended up buying chain and hanging them up.

I bought 2 of these and installed them less than a year ago (don't remember exact date, but it was this year (2016)). One I rarely use, and is still working great (bright lighting, etc.), the other started flickering intermittently about 2 months ago, and now it is dead. I estimate that it lasted about 1200 hours, no where near the life I expected.

The washer and dryer in my folks house is located in the basement like many are in northern states (MN), and the lighting over the two appliances consisted of a single 200 watt incandescent bulb. I didn't even know they made bulbs of that type in that wattage! Well that bulb produced a blinding light when you saw it, but not very good light for your work space. So I bought one of these led lights and put it up today. Wow, what a difference. The lighting is so much brighter, covering a larger area near the washer and dryer, and colors of the clothes appear much more accurately than with the old 200 watt fire hazard. So they now have better lighting, for about 1/5 the electricity. Mom is thrilled.

These are brighter than the fluorescents. I was worried, a typical T8 florescent is rated 2800 lumens per. However because these LEDs fire directionally down the light will be brighter over a T8 that fires 360º loosing some lumens due to inefficient throw and reflection loss. 5000k color temp. (daylight) 40 watts 4200 lumens (it says on the box) 86 CRI 105 lumens per watt (very efficient) 60 LED's per row (2 rows that simulate a tube) Clear tube protector over each row. 50,000 hours rated 5' cord w ground 4.25 pounds 46.5" long, 6" wide, 2.75 deep

These have been great. My garage had two single bulb outlets on the ceiling for a 3 car garage. I replaced the bulbs with screw in outlets and plugged in the lights so they are operated by the switch. I also trimmed off the little tabs on the brackets so instead of hanging from chains the brackets are screwed directly to the ceiling.

Bought four led shop lights at Sams in October to replace the CFL shop lights in my unheated garage. The main reason to purchase the led was for cold weather lighting since fluorescent take very long to brighten or don't turn-on at all in extreme weather. The new leds worked fine until temperature started to get below freezing in November. One of the fixtures started blinking for a minute or so. By December that fixture was blinking for more two minutes plus. A second fixture started blinking for about 15 seconds. Thought I would return these two to Sams for a replacement but decided to wait for the challenge of January/February. Now it is February in NH and last night temperature went negative (-10F). This mornings temperature outside is 7F. The garage maybe a little colder than the outside temp due to last night. Decided to record the timing of the lights turning on steady. One fixture came on and three fixtures blinking. After 5 minutes one of the blinking fixtures came on. After 10 minutes the second blinking one came on. 30 minutes later the last blinking unit was still blinking. This is when I ended the observation. So I have 1 out of 4 working like it should. Dilemma.. return all or try to replace the three.

I purchased the 2 pack of lights so that I could evaluate them for use in a new garage I'm building. I installed these in my existing garage replacing the plain incandescent bulbs that were in there. The lighting is very bright. The construction seems decent, and everything worked right out of the box. Obviously, I will just have to wait and see on the durability of these lights.

I like how lightweight these are and the brightness is more than adequate. Hangs up exactly like the old style T-12 fluorescent shop lights. One small problem and you must be conscious of this flaw. DO NOT HANG THESE LIGHTS PLUGGED IN. I was hanging two lights and one for no particular reason was plugged in and switched on; it shouldn't have been a big deal. Well BAM I was shocked and tripped the breaker. Apparently the provided S hook will make contact with an exposed live conductor in the housing when you try to loop the hook through the hole provided. They should have provided a loop for the hook that will not go near anything that is live. This is a major flaw. I would have given it a 5 star, because outside the near death experience, this shop light works great and a good value.
